The main story follows the mother’s entrepreneurial journey and the heroine’s growth. There are two female leads, and the mother may get more page time. It’s a satisfying career-focused story. 2. The story is set roughly between 1985 and 2008, not just in the 1980s. Also, everyone remembers each era differently, and I’ve taken artistic liberties, so please don’t nitpick the historical details. 3. Both the heroine and her mother have love interests. 4. In her previous life, the heroine was timid, and her mother wasn’t exactly a good mother in the traditional sense, either. If you have issues with the first few chapters, try reading further. If you still don’t like it, there’s no need to force yourself. She briskly cuts ties with the villainess and heads home. At home, Yu Fengchi sees her parents, worried about being laid off but still making sure to heat up food and water for her; her earnest little brother, who obediently calls her big sister; and her two little nieces, who run up and call her auntie. She decides to grab a spatula, help the whole family get rich, and make a good life for them all! After a lot of hard work, Yu Fenglou’s bun stall opens. The Yu family’s neighbors don’t think much of it and shake their heads. “Has that Yu girl gone crazy? Instead of taking a factory job, she’s become a private business owner?” “Who’s going to buy such expensive buns from a street stall? I bet she’ll go out of business in a few days!” A few days later, the area in front of the Yu family’s bun stall is packed with people. “Boss, ten buns, please! The people in front, no cutting in line!” The neighbors bite into their meat buns. “Mmm... delicious!” Later, the bun stall becomes a little restaurant, and the little restaurant becomes a grand restaurant... The villainess, back from the big city, is so jealous she could grind her teeth to dust. She can only console herself that at least she found a rich man to support her.
