A Woman's Survival Guide to Esports

It's an accepted fact among both players and fans that esports don't need women.

Bringing in a female player can lead to all sorts of unexpected trouble: team dynamics, the club's reputation, and an excess of unwanted attention.

But what if there really is no other way?

Ever since Irin's debut, controversy over female players has followed her. Some called her a pretty face, others a pawn for capital to draw traffic, and others said she could only play for one season. Looking back, she'd already spent years in the league.

Even Irin kept asking herself: Why had she chosen this path? Only now did she finally understand: it was a dream that would never stop burning.

Note: A semi-realistic esports novel that tries to explore how female players survive in the league. The light and darkness of the esports industry will both be depicted, so please stop here if you're only looking for a romantic fairy tale. Player and club names are partly fictional, and the story is entirely made up. The setting is a mix, starting around the era of LCK dominance. The heroine is a veteran Korea-slayer.

Theme: Struggle and strive in a world ruled by men.
