[Pokémon Sword and Shield] Starting Out as Champion

Modern gamer A Ling only discovered Pokemon in the eighth generation, Sword and Shield, and has always been teased for being someone without a childhood. She played through the games and became Champion, but it never felt real. She'd only won by overpowering her opponents with higher levels. If Pokemon were real, she was afraid she wouldn't even make it past the first Gym.

As she was saying this, she woke up to discover she'd become the Champion of Galar, in the flesh.

How is a Champion who knows nothing about Pokemon battles supposed to survive here? Type matchups? Sorry, let me look that up first. (Feeling guilty.)

Pairing: Maybe Raihan, maybe Hop, maybe Leon?

Place your bets, folks. No refunds once you've bought in. I have no idea either.

This should be a pretty lighthearted story. I'll write whatever comes to mind and let myself go wild.

As for me, the author, I really know nothing about battling, so I probably won't go into too much detail on that. The focus is on the romance? (I'm making that up.)

Theme: A girl learning to understand herself all over again.
