[Main story complete. The author's next novel, He's Got That Problem, launches in early October.]
The first time Jiang Yu saw Lu Xiao, his gentle, refined appearance reminded her of the "prince charming" from her memories, the one she'd never managed to end up with.
But one day, she accidentally saw the boy coldly take off his shirt, revealing a back covered in scars. Only then did Jiang Yu realize they weren't alike.
Deep down, Lu Xiao was a hypocrite. Beneath his humble, gentlemanly exterior, he despised the world from the bottom of his heart.
Then one day, a box of ointment for external injuries suddenly appeared in his desk drawer.
He knew his "secret" had been discovered.
He had thought it was another kind of hell, but instead, she became the only light in his dark world.
.
Lu Xiao had told Jiang Yu to "get lost" countless times, but as she quietly drew closer, his heart gradually fell for her.
Then, on the day she was about to leave, Lu Xiao unexpectedly learned a truth that was far too cruel.
It turned out that all of someone's gentle, unobtrusive kindness had come from another "him."
He was a fake gentleman, but the man she loved was a real prince.
.
Years later, the boy had become a business prodigy, one of the most powerful men around.
Though he was adored by all, no one knew that in eight years, he had only managed to fall asleep peacefully a handful of times.
The day they met again, Jiang Yu sat across from Lu Xiao as he took out a contract worth a fortune. His deep gaze held a trace of uncertainty, and he spoke in a hoarse voice: "Jiang Yu, save me one more time."
Only later did Jiang Yu understand that some people's cries for help were silent, frantic screams.
With their mouths shut, they kept shouting, over and over: Don't go.
[I'm chasing that dream of an illusion]
[Thank you for coming into my life with the light]
Both are each other's only romantic partner.
Next novel: Mr. Fu Is Sick
Blurb:
At thirty-five, Mr. Fu is worth hundreds of billions, but has no hopes for "living." He is sick from head to toe yet never follows his doctor's orders. In the prime of his life, he has already accepted death. He wears traditional Chinese clothes favored by middle-aged and elderly men every day and carries a rosewood cane decorated with gold. He's handsome, but mentally, he's already got one foot in the grave.
Tang Chun thinks Mr. Fu must have something wrong with his head.
On the first day she meets him, Tang Chun points at the cane in his hand and asks, "Mr. Fu, are your legs giving you trouble?"
The butler replies solemnly, "Sir's rheumatoid arthritis has flared up again."
Tang Chun: "..."
.
As a top student in nursing, Tang Chun beats out ninety-nine other candidates and lands the job of Mr. Fu's personal caretaker.
The duties are simple:
1. Make sure Mr. Fu takes his medicine on time.
2. Make sure Mr. Fu eats on time.
3. Make sure Mr. Fu goes to bed on time.
4. Help Mr. Fu feel the world's love and beauty with care and kindness.
Tang Chun: Is this basically raising a son?
Considering the monthly salary of one hundred thousand, Tang Chun decides raising a "son" who's thirty-five isn't so bad.
.
Later, after Tang Chun has raised Mr. Fu into a rosy-cheeked, pampered man, she prepares to retire and head home, with a trip abroad on the side. But a dozen men in black stop her at the airport.
Mr. Fu appears at the airport in a custom-made traditional Chinese outfit, with an old butler in a tailcoat following behind him. The scene looks straight out of a movie.
Surrounded by everyone's stares, Tang Chun is left speechless.
Tang Chun: ...
Even those melodramatic romance dramas wouldn't dare to pull something like this!
A little scene:
In the airport's VIP lounge, the old butler pulls a document from his coat and places it in front of Tang Chun.
Mr. Fu sits across from her, raises his chin, and calmly but forcefully says one word: "Sign."
Tang Chun glances at the row of bodyguards in black behind her, then at the "marriage agreement" on the coffee table. She grips her fountain pen, utterly conflicted.
So, should she sign, or should she sign?
Mr. Fu is a little sick, both in body and mind, but the one illness with no cure is the one called "Tang Chun."
[Age gap of twelve years, both are each other's only romantic partner, somewhat dramatic, and the male lead is a little neurotic.]
Theme: Redemption
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Hehe, Mr. Lu is Jiang Jiang's little princess.
I thought their child would be named Jiang. After all, the male protagonist has no feelings for the Lu family, right?
This article is really well written. The only flaw is that every time the hero's inner excitement and depression are described, the hero clenches his fists to describe it. It feels a bit monotonous. When he feels sad, he clenches his fists. I hope to see some other ways of writing to describe emotions in future articles.
Jiang Yu: Invisibly ate a handful of dog food
Hhhh mom is so funny
Hahahahahahaha, save face!!!
Hahaha, Mr. Lu also wants to save face!
This book is average~ The author writes about brother-brother relationships which are better.
Hahahahaha I love it!!! Congratulations on the completion!
