He's Got a Serious Problem

At 35, Mr. Fu is worth hundreds of billions, but has no expectations for being alive. He is plagued by illness from head to toe, yet never follows his doctor's orders. In the prime of his life, he has already accepted death. He spends every day dressed in an old-fashioned Tang suit, carrying a purple sandalwood cane decorated with gold. Though handsome, his state of mind is that of a man with one foot in the grave.

Tang Chun thinks Mr. Fu is more or less a little off his rocker.

On the first day she meets him, Tang Chun points to the cane in Mr. Fu's hand and asks, "Mr. Fu, are your legs giving you trouble?"

The butler replies solemnly, "The master's rheumatism has flared up again."

Tang Chun: "..."

As a top nursing student, Tang Chun beats out 99 competitors and successfully lands a job as Mr. Fu's caregiver.

The job is simple:

1. Make sure Mr. Fu takes his medicine on time.

2. Make sure Mr. Fu eats on time.

3. Make sure Mr. Fu goes to bed on time.

4. Use care and kindness to help Mr. Fu feel the love and beauty in this world.

Tang Chun: Is this basically raising a son?

For a monthly salary of 100,000, Tang Chun decides that raising a 35-year-old "son" is fine by her.

Later, after Tang Chun has raised Mr. Fu to be fair and rosy-cheeked, she prepares to retire and return home, with a trip abroad on the side. But then a dozen men in black detain her at the airport's customs checkpoint.

Mr. Fu appears at the airport in a custom-made Tang suit, followed by an old butler dressed in a tailcoat. The scene looks straight out of a movie.

As Tang Chun takes in the gazes coming from every direction, she is struck speechless.

Tang Chun: "..."

Even a Mary Sue drama wouldn't dare write a scene like this!

Bonus scene:

In the airport VIP lounge, the old butler takes a document from his coat and places it in front of Tang Chun.

Across from her, Mr. Fu lifts his chin and calmly, assertively says one word: "Sign."

Tang Chun glances at the row of bodyguards in black behind her, then at the "marriage agreement" on the coffee table. Pen in hand, she is utterly conflicted.

So should she sign, or should she sign?

Mr. Fu is a little unwell, both in body and mind. But the one illness with no cure is the one called "Tang Chun."
