At twenty-two, Guan Jie had a wild time, spending night after night with Zhu Zheng in the glittering foreign concessions. You could say her life was going swimmingly.
But she knew that once you stripped away the ambiguity between them, all that remained was a transaction.
Guan Jie liked red roses, but Zhu Zheng always gave her white ones. Guan Jie was allergic to seafood, but Zhu Zheng forgot every time.
Guan Jie's birthday was April 21, but he always wished her happy birthday on May 21.
Later, Guan Jie learned that there had always been someone in Zhu Zheng's heart. That person liked white roses and seafood, and her birthday was May 21. She and that girl were both from Shanghai, both studied music, and both loved Schubert.
At the end of 2017, Zhu Zheng was sentenced for causing a fatal accident. DEOMON Bar closed, and Guan Jie couldn't stay in Beijing any longer.
Before leaving, she saw him one last time and tore through the pretense herself. "Zhu Zheng, I'll never live in someone else's shadow and be a nameless stand-in."
They reunited in Shanghai on Christmas Day, 2019.
At a dinner party, one rich second-generation brat deliberately picked a fight. "I heard you used to run with Zhu Zheng. Everyone in our circle knows he hit someone and went to prison. He's still not out, is he?"
In the corner of the private room, a figure who had been silent for a long time flicked away his cigarette ash and asked with a faintly mocking smile, "You know I've been in prison. Aren't you afraid you'll be the next Pan Jiawei?"
The brat broke out in a cold sweat and could barely get a word out.
After the dinner, Guan Jie stood among the crowd and asked hesitantly, "Are you okay?"
Zhu Zheng stared at her, his Adam's apple bobbing. "Don't bother with trash like them from now on."
*The male lead has been in prison; reunion after a long separation; unconventional literary style.
*Many potential triggers. Read with caution; this is not a sweet romance.
*If it's not your thing, please don't tell me in the comments. Just quietly move on; it's better for everyone.
Theme: Love is immense and never gives up.
It makes me sad when I see depression. It makes people cry silently. When I really stop to comment, I find that my ability to organize language seems to have been lost. This is my second brush. The stamina of the long lamp is like a torrent, taking away half of the active factors and making me quiet. Here, I can only wish Zhu Zheng and Guan Jie in the parallel world to only follow the high road from now on, and everything they seek will be successful. I wish everyone who reads this book all the best and don't be sad.
Complete! I saw here that Jiang Mei and Shen were married!!!!
The saddest thing in the whole book is when Zhu Zheng fell ill and was judged by the doctor that he might not live for a few years. He really couldn't stand it anymore and was very sad. Why were they so miserable and couldn't even warm each other up in the end? It was okay, okay, and there was a good ending in the end.
If it hadn't been a happy ending, I guess everyone would have sent you the razor blade. Hahahaha, it looks good, but the process is too depressing.
It was obviously just a character in your works, but it made me think about it all night long. After watching "Bu Bu Bu Fall", I watched "Chang Deng" again. The regrets left in Bu Bu were fulfilled in "Chang Deng".
Fortunately, it has a happy ending, otherwise it would be really hard to let go.
The ending is still unfinished, I always feel like I want more
Very nice. Thank you to the author for a happy ending. They should not miss
Why do I suddenly want to write about a be? It's very difficult. I think I should write about it... Life is already very difficult. My favorite novel is still about a be…
I hope Guan Jie and Zhu Zheng stay safe and healthy and grow old together.
