The Floating Pagoda

[Bad Ending, Short Story]

[First Person]

"My life was brief. My deeds couldn't even fill one thin brick in the Fu Die Tower."

"But I was happy enough. My life was complete, without regrets."

My name is Wen Nuo. I am the only heir to the throne of Lanselate, and a prisoner to be executed in ten days.

I was locked in the lowest level of the Fu Die Tower.

Magic and monsters have turned this tower into a terrifying cage.

No one can escape.

I accepted my fate.

Until the day Lord Singer was locked in here, too.

The once-mighty captain of the royal guards lay beside me, covered in wounds, and smiled at me.

He said:

"Your Highness, I will get you out of here."

"I promise."
