Synopsis

Xiao Liu has never been able to figure one thing out.

Why, as a gaming nerd, is he surrounded by sporty boys?

Baffled, he went to ask Father Feng, the priest who had raised him.

But his guardian's friends, Kagutsu and Habari, pushed him out the door.

"Get outside and get some exercise, kid! Don't make Feng look bad!"

"Hahaha."

He heard them.

The young Bisuizumi stood expressionless in the doorway.

"Oh, it's you, Xiao Liu," said the childhood friends from next door. "Want to play volleyball with us?"

"Kenma, want to play video games?" he asked.

"I do, but Kuro wants to play volleyball. You should come too."

"...Oh."

Besides the childhood friends next door, he also has a friend with an incredibly low profile who plays basketball.

Then there are his older friends, like Habari, who not only teaches him volleyball and how to fight, but, as a police officer, also gets dragged into cases that have nothing to do with his duties from time to time. There's usually a famous detective involved who looks very young but is exceptionally clever!

Even Xiao Liu's everyday life has become exciting.

...It's exhausting.

And he still doesn't understand how things got this way.

At the beginning, all he wanted was to stay home and play games, right?

Theme: The simple, peaceful life is the best.

My Favorite Derivative Danmei and No-CP Books

I read a pretty eclectic mix: The Prince of Tennis, Naruto, Fog, Touken Ranbu, Detective Conan, and all sorts of other things.

Lighthearted Derivative Fiction, Mostly No Romance, Including Straight and Boys' Love

Fanworks that kept me reading straight through. Mainly Detective Conan, Bungou Stray Dogs, and Jujutsu Kaisen, plus Genshin Impact, crossovers with the DC universe, crossover wuxia, and more. Some are unfinished. Most are lighthearted comedies.
