The Fake Heiress

[Coming Soon: Rose Lover (Sci-Fi)]

They say that when roses meet their destined lover, they grow like mad. Their thorny stems coil around their beloved until they suffocate, leaving them unable to ever escape.

A young Alpha general was widowed in her prime. Since her late wife adored roses, she carefully cultivated a whole rose garden.

The roses flourished, their pink blooms spreading across half the stars, all thanks to her devoted care.

Then one day, every rose in the garden withered overnight.

She hurried home from a meeting, only to see a naked young woman standing amid the wilted roses.

The girl looked at her haughtily, her manner arrogant and her tone disdainful.

"Are you the servant who's been tending to me all this time?"

"Since you've cared for me so well, I'll allow you to stay by my side."

Everyone saw the Alpha general clench her fists and thought she was about to charge forward and challenge the girl to a duel. After all, they all knew just how much their general loved her roses.

But, to their surprise, the general slowly unclenched her fists and walked toward the girl with reverence and devotion.

She went down on one knee and offered her cloak, wrapping the girl up so completely that not a glimpse of her fair skin remained exposed.

"As you command, my dear princess."

She had waited so long for her.

[Synopsis]

Ji Ling had lived a life of luxury for eighteen years. Then a blood test revealed that the Ji family had taken her home by mistake all those years ago: she was a fake heiress, nothing but a magpie occupying another bird's nest.

Overnight, everyone turned against her. Even the fake friends who used to fawn over her started speaking in saccharine tones, making insincere jabs and sneering at her.

When the real heiress arrived at the Ji home with her pitifully small amount of luggage, Ji Ling had already packed her own bags and was ready to move out.

She took one last look at the "home" she'd lived in for eighteen years and sneered inwardly. One day, she would return through those doors openly and proudly, just as surely as she was being driven out today.

Many years later...

With the real heiress in her arms, kissing her until her face was flushed red, Ji Ling brazenly told the people who had once been her "foster parents," "Mom, Dad, I'm here to take Jiao Jiao home."
