Reborn as a Stunning Beauty in a Chinese Cartoon

Synopsis: Xia Ning finds herself inside a 3D animated political intrigue series that only had one season.

The rites and laws have collapsed, and the princes compete for supremacy. The state of Ji, where she lives, is a tiny country with little land and a feeble national strength, surviving in the cracks between powerful states.

She is Princess Zhaoning, the youngest daughter of the King of Ji. Her beauty is renowned throughout the states, inspiring a sour-minded scholar to write this poem about her: "Her clothes and looks are captivating, enchanting and unfaithful."

The lecherous and tyrannical prince of Zhao sends an envoy with a letter demanding that the King of Ji marry his youngest daughter into the Zhao royal family.

Xia Ning is naturally unwilling, for one reason only: his character design is unbelievably ugly!

Firmly believing that beauty is justice, Xia Ning finds a way to seduce a musician in her royal brother's residence.

There's no other reason: this musician has the best-looking character design in the entire animated series, and his voice actor has a rich, magnetic bass voice. Both are exactly her type.

Although Xia Ning doesn't know what happens after the first season, her instinct as a beauty enthusiast tells her that the character designer wouldn't give such a top-tier design to some nobody.

Later, only after the state of Ji falls and the musician takes her and their child to Yue, does she learn his true identity: Qi Jian, King of Yue.

Later still, when Qi Jian unifies the states, she finally realizes that the first step she took here, guided by her instinct for good looks, was the beginning of a meteoric rise.
