I want to pull him into my arms, bury my face in his neck, and take a deep sniff. Lux watched Ruan Chen curled up in the corner and swished his tail happily. - Ruan Chen feared nothing, but the nail clippers in front of him were bigger than his hand, and for the first time in his life, he felt nervous. "Don't come any closer!" He curled himself into a ball in the corner of the room. Lux watched him trying to squeeze into the wardrobe. His fur, neatly combed that morning, was a mess again. Ruan Chen was still lifted out by the arm. The merman took one of his hands and forced his fingers open. Click. His claws were trimmed short. Ruan Chen struggled to escape. "Be good. I'll open you a box of snacks when we're done." The merman's deep, coaxing voice came through the translator in Ruan Chen's ear. Ruan Chen's eyes widened as he roared, "Meowww!" Lux's translation earpiece had apparently been knocked off somewhere during the struggle. Hearing the cry, he chuckled softly. "Mm, Ruan Ruan is right." Ruan Chen: "..." I was cursing you!
