The Saintess and Her Dragon

Joan Lisa is a healthy, powerful male dragon, just a little short of adulthood. One day, its aircraft engine cut out mid-flight, and it crashed into the wrong, foolish era. To gather energy, it casually slaughtered a god. The dragon settled atop the god's throne, counting its new treasures, when it heard the gentle, devout prayer of the Divine Church's saintess below: [O great Lord, I have just forgiven the bishop's sins on Your behalf. May the holy light be with him.] It looked down and, well, the saintess had tied the bishop up and roasted him until he was cooked! Alice is the saintess of the Divine Church. The day the Book of Fate acknowledged her, she saw the fate of this world. A pure and beautiful girl from some nameless village was destined to replace her as the next saintess. The dignified young bishop, the clever and scheming prince, the beautiful and free-spirited elven ranger, the seductive and rakish demon count, and even the supreme God of Holy Light would all fall hopelessly in love with the girl and abandon everything for her. Alice closed the Book of Fate and smiled. [The bishop willingly falls into depravity, the prince abandons his country, the ranger gives up her freedom, the count betrays his race, and the god ignores his followers...] [I can't do anything about you people, so I suppose I'll just have to forgive you myself.] With that, the faithless saintess tossed the Book of Fate into the fireplace and told the captain of the knights to roast the archbishop for her entertainment. Theme: There has never been any such thing as a predetermined fate. Our fate lies in our own hands.
