The Inverted Cross [Western Fantasy]

[Third-person narration] Full manuscript completed

You are a powerful third-generation vampire, living in an ancient castle overgrown with black vines.

Day after day, you repeat the same routine. Your eternal life has grown a little tedious.

Until one day, your servant brings you a dying boy.

You gaze down at the human on the floor. He has short, light-gray hair, and his appearance is as tempting as his blood.

Your teeth pierce his skin with ease, leaving your mark on the graceful lines of his neck.

You embrace him beneath the moonlight and kiss him beside a window draped in curtains.

At last, one day, you make up your mind: to turn him into an immortal companion.

What a shame. He refuses.

An unempathetic, cold-blooded vampire x a beautiful, unhinged fallen young noble

[I will defy my instincts and betray my mission to love you]

*There is a bad-ending branch, but the ending is happy.

*Top x Western fantasy + vampires. Main text is in third person.

*Proceed with caution if you have strong preferences. This isn't straightforward, fluffy romance. It's a true love-hate relationship. See the second point for details, qaq.

*An experimental attempt at a new style. It reads very differently from every other story in my collection.
