Where Qingluo Is Not

(Trying out a new style: a groveling ex gets replaced by another man, with a heart-wrenching love story. Be warned, this is a shamelessly cheesy romance, woof qwq.)

Sang Luo died on a rainy night in the seventeenth year of Zhaohua.

Her life was far too short and bitter. As a child, she was saved by the immortal Changyuan, and then spent half her life following him, staying by his side without a name or status.

To save the person who had won the immortal's favor, she lost her spiritual bones and her life. Before her soul scattered, she saw someone hastily wrap up her corpse and throw it off the cliff beside the immortal's estate.

That's right. She had loved someone she shouldn't have.

She had overestimated herself, foolishly hoping to touch the moon in the heavens.

In the final second before her consciousness faded, Sang Luo thought back over this life.

Her life and cultivation, her dignity and love: it seemed she'd never truly had any of it.

This world was no good at all.

She would never come back.

When she opened her eyes again, she had gone from the human world to the Demon Palace.

Before her stood the moody Demon Lord, astonishingly beautiful and utterly vile in temperament.

Sang Luo knew this place was a dragon's den and a tiger's lair.

But she had nothing left to lose.

She thought it wouldn't be long before her soul was completely obliterated, never to be reborn.

Who could have guessed that the arrogant, unruly Demon Lord would one day storm the immortal's estate for her, dressed in blazing red and pointing a demonic saber straight at the immortal Changyuan?

Nor could she have imagined that the once lofty immortal would bow his head to the Demon Realm that day, his eyes bloodshot, as if he were about to shed tears of blood.

"Can you give Sang Luo back to me?"

"Oh?"

The Demon Lord pulled Sang Luo into his arms and laughed boldly.

"A Luo, tell him."

"Who do you love most?"

A pitiful girl x a Demon Lord who looks like a total jerk but isn't actually that bad →

(Probably) a healing story, but the man heals the woman.
