Did I Successfully Save Mr. Mori Today?

Goofy comedy:

I'm Mori Ogai, and today, as usual, I'm standing here completely bewildered. I don't know why, but suddenly there are all these romantic rivalries swirling around me, and I'm at the center of them. Wait, why are these rivalries happening around me? And why are all of you doing such an over-the-top job of convincing yourselves you love me?

You over there, Dazai, put your hand down. Don't put it on my waist. It really tickles.

And you, Yosano Akiko, what's going on with you?

Why are you staring at me so strangely?

And you in there, President Fukuzawa, aren't we supposed to be rivals? Why are you staring at me so seriously while holding a marriage registration form?

And you, the detective over there, aren't you the one who loves getting praise from President Fukuzawa? So why do you insist on getting praise from me?

Seriously, what's with all you youngsters?
