[The Longest Day in Chang'an] The Unseen Is Hard to Shake

The King of Hell is easy to deal with; the Impermanence is hard to get rid of.

Liu Wuyi, a Chang'an guard officer, is known as the Ghost-Faced Impermanence.

The Bad People guard the people of Chang'an and keep them safe. As long as you're in Chang'an, rich or poor, you're someone we are duty-bound to protect.

--Liu Wuyi

"It's been months, Chief Zhang. You look hale and hearty, though your outfit could use some work."

"You really do know your elder brother. He's a good man, though his lending rates are rather steep. Eight percent interest. A real miser."

"...Chief Zhang, don't tease me just because you can't get anywhere with Madam Tanqi."

"I gave my word to your elder brother. He guards the frontier and defends the realm, while I stay in Chang'an to protect his loved ones and friends, provide for the families of his subordinates, and keep the people of Chang'an safe."

"You think it's funny? An ant may be small, but it can shake a tree or even break a dam. Besides, who says I'm alone?"

"Liu Wuyi, Chang'an guard officer. If you have to stop your drum, then please let everyone go."

That said, the pairing is with Cui Qi. I fell for him because of two lines.

A fanfiction based on the show.

A serious-looking story written by someone who's actually clueless about history, so the setting is a mess.

Especially lacking in logic.

Updates whenever; don't nag.
