Global Infrastructure

A week before the apocalypse, Qiao Ran's town is already prepared to become a ray of light in the darkness.

The world is engulfed in darkness for three days and three nights.

Then snow and ice blanket the globe. Temperatures of -80°C cut the population in half.

After three months of deep freeze, temperatures climb above 50°C. Sandstorms, insect infestations, and epidemics follow.

In less than half a year, less than one percent of the world's population remains.

Qiao Ran dies of an epidemic in the fourth month of the apocalypse, then opens his eyes fifteen days before it begins.

They build walls, insulate against the cold, and stockpile food. The whole town joins forces to build an impregnable fortress and keep natural disasters outside.

Everyone remembers that day. The Imperial Alliance was at the end of its rope, and in its moment of despair, it saw a tiny glimmer of life shining from the little town that should have been the first to perish in the blizzard!

And the town's leader, Qiao Ran,

was the very person who had warned them the apocalypse was coming. Back then, not a single person believed him...

This is Sunset Town, the last refuge of the apocalypse.
