Those who are cherished can afford to be fearless

The year Shi Man turned thirty, she did two shocking things.

She broke up with her handsome, wealthy, promising fiance, and quit her job at the hospital to become a screenwriter.

Everyone around her thought she had lost her mind.

Not long after she left, news spread through the hospital that her fiance was engaged to the director's daughter.

That day, Shi Man was on location with the crew in Hengdian, so busy she was covered in dust.

Qi Zeyuan suddenly showed up. He looked at the boxed meal in her hands with an expression of exasperation and pity.

"Manman, have you had enough? Come back with me. I can explain what happened."

Shi Man looked at the familiar stranger. "We've already broken up."

"You're thirty. If you aren't with me, who else could you be with?"

Shi Man casually pointed behind her. "See that guy over there, the one who's more handsome than you? He's pursuing me."

The man she pointed to was Zhou Yi'an, a currently popular actor and a famously aloof figure in the industry.

That evening, Shi Man ran into Zhou Yi'an at the hotel where the crew was staying.

The famous actor suddenly took hold of her wrist, his palm burning hot. "I hear I'm pursuing you?"

"I'm sorry, Teacher Zhou. I was joking."

"Then will you accept my pursuit?" Zhou Yi'an looked at her with cool, deep eyes. "I'm not joking."

She didn't remember, so Zhou Yi'an didn't tell her.

She was both the cinnabar mole and the moonlight in his heart.
