Marriage First, Love Later

[Print edition now available]

Synopsis

Three months into their marriage, Jian Hang and Qin Moling are still sleeping in separate rooms. Their marriage was arranged by Qin Moling's grandfather, and Qin Moling has no feelings for her.

In the eyes of outsiders, Jian Hang, whose family is nothing special, has married into the Qin family and turned into a phoenix.

Plenty of people are waiting to laugh when she becomes a wealthy family's castoff.

But she has nothing to lose in this marriage, so Jian Hang decides to make a good life with Qin Moling.

That evening, she takes the initiative and strikes up a conversation with him about a trending topic.

Qin Moling gives her a few perfunctory replies.

Seeing how distracted he is, Jian Hang immediately gets up and heads back to her bedroom.

Before long, someone knocks.

Jian Hang doesn't open the door. Her voice is cool: “If you have something to say, say it!”

Qin Moling says, “The trending topic you asked about was at number 22 just now, marked ‘New.’ Now it's up to number 2, with a purple ‘Viral’ tag next to it.”

Jian Hang: “...”

P.S. As the title suggests, this is a marriage-first, love-after story. The hero goes from not loving her, to falling for her, to being utterly devoted.

Synopsis

Luo Qi discovers that her fiancé has been emotionally cheating before they can register their marriage. She promptly breaks up with him and calls off the wedding.

Her fiancé is a rising star in finance: handsome, rich, and, in her relatives' eyes, a better match than any man she could hope to find at her age.

Even he thinks so.

After unilaterally canceling the wedding banquet, Luo Qi falls out with her family.

She celebrates her twenty-ninth birthday alone.

That night, after a business dinner, the head of the group, Jiang Shenghe, suddenly asks her, “Luo Qi, would you like to give us a try?”

Luo Qi stares at Jiang Shenghe in shock, unable to get a word out.

As his assistant, she works with this forceful, aloof boss who never shows his emotions every day, always walking on eggshells and terrified of making a mistake. Even at her lowest, she would never get herself tangled up with him romantically.

The third young master of the Jiang family stands at the top of the social elite. She is worlds apart from him. His idea of “giving it a try” must be a passing whim, an attempt to turn her into a secret mistress.

She can't take that kind of risk.

Luo Qi is trying to come up with an excuse to turn him down.

Jiang Shenghe looks at her and speaks again: “This isn't a whim. I've had my eye on you for seven years.”

This is the seventh year she's been in his heart.

The heroine is the powerful hero's idealized first love.
