Coming soon: I Conquer the Capital by Selling Secrets and This Capital Is Full of Problems. Scroll down to see the blurbs. [The next novel is set to launch on November 4. I'm enthusiastically stockpiling chapters, and it may launch early.]
Jiang Li transmigrated into Kyoto Romance as a low-born cannon-fodder character. Born under a star of ill fortune, she was rejected by her parents.
Faced with a plot that would leave her crippled, mute, and disfigured before she burned to ashes in a fire, she gave a dry laugh, packed her things, and ran away.
After escaping her awful birth family, Jiang Li found herself a steady meal ticket on the frontier: her lord and master.
Her lord had countless valiant generals and a whole camp of strategists. Even the cooks were top-notch chefs.
A nameless nobody like Jiang Li was always on edge, afraid of being kicked out of the camp. Every day, she racked her brains trying to figure out how to stay.
Then, one day, she finally saw a glimmer of hope: her lord's terrible luck.
He tripped on flat ground, rolled a one every time he threw the dice, and failed at eighteen matchmaking attempts in a row.
Bad luck was great! It meant she had a chance to rise through the ranks (cross that out) and serve her lord with all her might.
And so, her lord gained a female bodyguard.
When he tripped, she grabbed his belt and yanked him upright.
When he choked on his food, she smacked him on the back and made him cough it up.
When he fell off the city wall during an inspection, she shot an arrow from a hundred paces away and pinned him firmly to the wall.
Lord (on the verge of a breakdown): Stay away from meeeee!
A few years later, her lord was finally moved by her "devotion" and made her his personal bodyguard for life.
Just as she thought she could finally relax, an imperial decree arrived at the frontier, summoning Prince Kang to the capital to meet the emperor.
She was wondering which Prince Kang was the one who opposed the hero and heroine and ended up getting himself killed, when her lord said, as casually as could be,
"A Li, get ready. We're going to the capital."
Jiang Li: What a mistake! Who could've guessed that the sickly Prince Kang from the original story was actually my lord, the man who could knock out a bull with one slap?
Can I still quit now?
She didn't want to get dragged into some epic, tragic romance with the hero and heroine!
Coming soon: I Conquer the Capital by Selling Secrets
Chu Xiu traveled from a war-torn era to a flourishing age, arriving in the capital with just fifty coins to her name and daring to search for her relatives.
To keep from starving, Chu Xiu decided to return to her old line of work.
The Fifth Prince secretly raised troops and plotted a coup. Someone reported him, and he was executed.
The Prince of Zhenbei sold secrets to the enemy. Someone reported him, and he was arrested.
The Minister of Rites secretly kept a mistress for ten years behind his formidable wife's back, and got away with it the whole time. Then one day, his wife showed up at her door.
Commandery Princess Yunle toyed with the affections of the Minister of War's legitimate son, then discarded him as if he were nothing.
From matters of state to officials' private affairs, secrets that had been carefully hidden away all began to spread like fire trapped in paper.
And the one holding the pipa as the fire burned through the paper could only say, "It was an accident. Do you believe me?"
P.S. The male lead is a young general who loves gossip. He and the heroine happily trade rumors and build their careers together.
This Capital Is Full of Problems
Bai Shu Qiu, the youngest daughter of the Minister of War, has a secret.
She isn't from this world. She's a highly advanced life-form from another, more developed plane.
In this ancient world, where people rise with the sun and sleep at dusk, she was held back at every turn. In the end, she decided to use the smuggled wristband she brought with her to develop technology and improve life for everyone.
Just as she was diligently working for the good of the people, the wristband suddenly began an automatic upgrade.
The upgraded wristband's AI cheered: [Installation of the latest plugin complete. Host, please check your new missions.]
Bai Shu Qiu tapped the screen at random and saw a long list of missions. Unlike before, nearly every one seemed to involve a man named Ji Feicheng.
If she remembered correctly, Ji Feicheng was the fiancé of the body she now inhabited.
And according to rumors, he really didn't like his fiancée.
But when she saw the generous rewards, in the form of technology points, Bai Shu Qiu decided it might be worth taking some time to deal with him.
And so, when the young marquis, who had secretly slipped off to the border for three years, galloped back to the capital, he found a city transformed beyond recognition, along with a fussy fiancée who insisted on clinging to him.
The usually carefree young marquis: There is definitely something wrong with this capital!!!
★ Both the hero and heroine are silly goofballs. The male lead is extremely, extremely dense.
★ A fictional setting, very fictional indeed.
Theme: You discover yourself in times of hardship
The writing is great. The soldiers guard the country, not a certain court. And I think the glory of soldiers should be respected by the people, not the title given by the emperor.
I want to know why the heroine can't stay in Shenji Camp. It's a bit confusing but I still like it. Please answer.
I really want to see the light they pray for, hope that the world will become better, and be tolerant to women.
I think it's okay to update at all three points. Serious jpg
How should I put it? I really hate this princess.
With such a big knife, the little girl must have been tortured a lot.
Both of them are so cute, right?
If his legs are broken, won't he be unable to move? Even if he can walk, he won't be able to walk fast.
What a miserable male protagonist, how could he be so miserable?
Ah, I like yandere, but unfortunately he is not the male protagonist, so I don't like him
