Synopsis:

Vampires have ruled this planet for hundreds of millions of years.

The planet has five social tiers. Pureblood vampires are at the top, while humans exiled from other planets are at the bottom.

Vampires can select and claim humans at designated stations.

Xu An, a vampire and interstellar author, has long kept an irregular schedule. To cure his stomach problems, he decides to claim a human to keep as a long-term food supply.

This is Xu An's first time raising a living creature. With years of social anxiety behind him, he chooses a quiet type that's easy to handle.

Finally, the Blood Emperor is generally elected by a vote of the Five Great Clans and must be accepted by their leaders. The Blood Emperor has certain powers, but is constrained by the Five Great Clans.
