A Sci-Fi Author's Livestream of Psychological Counseling for Characters in Her Book

Tang Bai, a writer stuck in a rut, passes the lowest-tier interstellar psychological counselor certification.

To get some practice, and to promote his books, he opens a small psychological counseling office in a pocket-space System for the characters in his stories.

The first protagonist of his ongoing novel slams a table in front of him: "Why don't you just write me dead? I'm done with this!"

In a completed novel, the shou weeps bitterly and complains: "The one I liked all along was the second male lead. I don't feel a thing for the original gong you wrote for me. Can we change the pairing?"

The characters in his abandoned novels rise up together: "Why are we the only ones stuck in a hole? We've been frozen in the same pose in this book for eight hundred years. How would you like it?!"

In real life, Tang Bai is under immense financial and personal pressure, while on the interstellar forums, people say he's run out of ideas and that every story he writes is worse than the last. He's accused of selling his account and no longer being the person behind it, and of plagiarism. Every day, he wonders if he should quit writing immediately and find another way to make a living.

Tang Bai: "If this keeps up, I'm going to have psychological problems!"

But he has one book fan who's sharp-tongued, cutting, and absolutely ferocious in a fight.

This especially conspicuous fan follows his serials and showers him with gifts during livestreams. Their tongue is so vicious that even the haters are left speechless, but they keep sending tips, throwing virtual mines, and offering flowers and applause. They're number one on the tipping leaderboard, an indisputable true fan!

One day, Tang Bai really can't take it anymore. He decides to say goodbye to this devoted fan and leave the writing scene for good.

But to soften the blow as much as possible, he makes up a romantic excuse.

Tang Bai: "I'm getting married."

Fan: "Hmph."

He is elusive and has never appeared publicly in the media, like a figure out of legend.

Few people know that he tips an obscure novelist on an interstellar fiction platform and in livestreams.

Even fewer know that he is a character who came out of a novel.

Once, the writer who created him told him every day that she would never marry anyone but him.

Then, one day, that writer told him she was going to marry someone else.

Gu Yanzheng: "Hmph. As if!"
