Hunted by My Nemesis, I Married Him

Everyone knows that the sickly beauty of the powerful Xie clan married a rabid dog.

On their wedding night, Xiao Jin gripped Xie Yuanzhi's chin and sneered, "Behave yourself and be my caged songbird, and I'll reward you with a life of luxury."

Xie Yuanzhi lowered his eyes and trembled faintly, blood staining his lips. "...I will remember, Your Highness."

Then he turned around and stole the Regent's private seal, made a notorious prisoner vanish from his cell, and spread banned books throughout all thirty-six provinces.

The Regent, Xiao Jin, had spent his life killing decisively and ruling with an iron fist. He hated two kinds of people most: those who tried to overturn the established order, and traitors who deceived him.

The leader of the rebels he personally hunted, "Yan Nanshi," happened to be both.

That night, when they confronted each other in a brothel, he pressed his consort's soft body against the bed. Just as desire clouded his mind, he felt a sword wound on the other's left shoulder.

It was the wound he had inflicted six months ago when he stabbed the rebel "Yan Nanshi" himself.

"What is the punishment for rebels who rise against the throne?"

"And what is the punishment for concealing the truth and harboring rebels, Your Highness?"

"The same as for the rebels." Xiao Jin leaned close to Xie Yuanzhi's ear and whispered, "Your punishment is to share my bed in life and my grave in death."
