Everyone Wants to Cuddle Me

Zhong Xiujing, a minor celebrity, finally caught up with the trend and transmigrated.

Other people transmigrate and marry a rich, beautiful woman, reaching the pinnacle of life. He transmigrates into a remote mountain forest and encounters ferocious beasts that speak human language.

Zhong Xiujing: I'm done for.

The monsters don't eat him. They change from beast form into human form and take him to their village.

Zhong Xiujing's worldview is shattered again, this time by the village, which is so run-down that the wind blows right through it.

The monsters gather around him, chattering away. They tell him that the mountains are home to a tribe, while there are city-states beyond the mountains. They trade with the monsters in those city-states for the necessities of life.

Zhong Xiujing: Got it. I'm not Robinson Crusoe in the forest. I'm a poverty-alleviation worker sent to the countryside to lead impoverished villagers out of the mountains and help them prosper.

Zhong Xiujing: Little Zhong, search for the four key policies for escaping poverty and becoming prosperous.

AI System: Big Zhong, there's no internet here.

Zhong Xiujing: ...

AI System: But don't worry. According to the system, my data package contains over a hundred documents on topics like “getting rich” and “infrastructure development.”

Zhong Xiujing opens them and finds novels he'd downloaded to kill time: Building Infrastructure in Another World and A Guide to Getting Rich in Another World...

+++++++++++Zhong Xiujing: ...

Zhong Xiujing: Do you have any guide to help me get along with a group of animals who can turn into humans?

AI System: Big Zhong, there are also over a hundred documents on topics like “cute pets” and “beastfolk.”

Zhong Xiujing: ... I'd rather see if there's a Mushroom Identification Guide or an Animal Husbandry Guide.
