After Playing the Part for My Rival, They Knock on My Door in the Middle of the Night

Actor Ren Yu agreed to star in an indie romance film out of obligation. The popular idol Chao Xu plays his love interest.

But even before filming, the two had already been caught up in a storm of smear campaigns because their characters were similar.

Fortunately, the project was kept under wraps, and filming went smoothly and peacefully.

The health-conscious actor, who couldn't stand the cutthroat competition for popularity, breathed a sigh of relief.

Unfortunately, as soon as filming wrapped, Ren Yu found a hugely popular star waiting outside his home.

Chao Xu complained with an air of righteous indignation: "You're so late getting back..."

Ren Yu took two steps back to keep a safe distance. "Who are you looking for?"

"Professor Lu," Chao Xu said in a soft voice, as if he had a cloyingly sweet candy in his mouth. "I missed you so much."

Ren Yu: "..."

Professor Lu was the character he played in that film.
