Blurb:
Qiao Ranran failed to see people's true nature in her previous life, and died at the hands of the original novel's male lead.
Having been lucky enough to be reborn, she decides to treasure her life and stay away from the protagonists. The world is so vast, and there are so many patients. Is money hard to earn, or does she not have enough studying to do?
The gravely wounded young man by the roadside is much more handsome and gentle than the male lead in the original novel.
But she died young in her previous life, and doesn't know that after the plot of the original novel plays out, this cultivation world will be destroyed by a great demon.
That demon is named Pei Ling, and he will return from the abyss.
In his previous life, Pei Ling couldn't stop his family from being slaughtered. He became a demon on the spot, only to be locked in the abyss forever by so-called righteous cultivators lying in ambush.
Yet he still fed on flesh and blood, then returned from the abyss to make this cultivation world share in his despair.
Suddenly reborn and back on that roadside, back at the moment when he was most helpless, he can't help but wonder if this is Heaven's punishment, forcing him to sink into despair once again.
Then, at that very moment, a pair of hands carrying the scent of medicine pulls him bodily back from the abyss.
Suddenly, this world is no longer the same.
*It's not that I don't want to destroy this world. I'm only afraid I won't be able to hold you tight.*
Pei Ling (righteously): You're obviously after something.
Qiao Ranran (dead-eyed): I was just giving you acupuncture...
[My life matters, money matters too, and I'm especially timid when it counts, a lazy little healer VS seriously ill, can beat up the male lead and tear apart the Heavenly Dao, a yandere great demon]
[Upcoming in the author's collection #2]: "Alchemy Cultivation Is an Endangered Profession" is eagerly awaiting readers
After dying, Gu Shengsheng wandered the mortal world as a lone ghost, witnessing the changing rivers and mountains and the rise and fall of humanity. But as she watched the "Calamity Star" destroy the world, she was caught in a bolt of heavenly lightning and sent back three hundred years.
When she opens her eyes, she sees the young "Calamity Star" looking at her with a complicated expression. She suddenly remembers that after she died, this very person had shown a rare moment of kindness and given her a proper burial.
Great, it seems she isn't quite as dead as she thought, and she even has the scripture "Primordial Pill Heart" bestowed by the Heavenly Dao.
Just then, Gu Shengsheng spits up another mouthful of blood, and the young "Calamity Star" outside the window spits up blood too.
Gu Shengsheng: Huh?
*
Everyone says that the demon child Lin Ying is an abandoned child of the Heavenly Dao, destined to become a demon and destroy the world.
So in his previous life, Lin Ying destroyed the world. See? He was very cooperative.
Unfortunately, after he destroyed the world, the Heavenly Dao slapped him back three hundred years to start all over again.
Lin Ying, with a world-weary expression: Damn Heavenly Dao! You ungrateful brat!
He looks up, and sees through a nearby window the little girl who should have been a corpse long ago in his previous life, and whom he had even been kind enough to bury. She's choking on a spirit-nourishing herb, eyes rolling back, looking as if she hasn't long to live, but is still very much alive.
Lin Ying: Huh?
*
The alchemical legacy of the Cangmi Realm has been lost for thousands of years. Yellow-rank pills cost a fortune, while Xuan-rank pills are so rare they're snapped up as soon as they appear. Ordinary cultivators can only chew spirit herbs raw or swallow hand-rolled pills. Making medicine is no easy task, and pill cultivators are on their last breath.
Until one day, the alchemical legacy reappears in the Cangmi Realm, and Changsheng Valley rises from nowhere. Its gates are crowded with visitors, and a single pill is hard to come by.
The ignorant masses finally believe that Heaven-rank pills really exist in this world. And the person who can refine them is actually a frail little girl with no cultivation at all, who could be blown away by a gust of wind and coughs up blood from time to time.
Who would believe that?
All right, they believe it.
The ones who didn't believe got beaten away. They don't dare disbelieve, honestly.
Who could have guessed that behind this frail, pale little girl who looks so easy to bully is a vicious dog that bites everyone it sees?
Lin Ying, the vicious dog: Do you people have any manners?
*
One day, Gu Shengsheng asks Lin Ying:
"What made you decide to come with me back then?"
"Well, I guess I recognized a familiar scent on you."
"Oh? What scent?"
"The scent of someone who got slapped by the Heavenly Dao."
"..."
What he doesn't say is that when he saw the light in Gu Shengsheng's eyes, something somehow stirred the cracks in his heart. One glance, a thousand years of longing.
[Upcoming in the author's collection #1]: "My Hapless Sect Can Do Anything" is eagerly awaiting readers
Wen Que transmigrates to a cultivation world and ends up with a heavenly sect:
Her master is ethereal and revered by all.
Her senior brother was born with a sword bone and forges himself into a sword.
Her senior sister is peerlessly beautiful and proves the Dao through music.
Her junior brother is pure and noble, and has healed countless people.
Her junior sister is a young lady from a distinguished family, a descendant of royalty.
And she is the useless third disciple who belongs neither here nor there, and even gets struck by lightning while cultivating at home.
Of course, only after the lightning wakes her up does she discover that every member of her heavenly sect is a hapless soul, and none of them will meet a good end.
This hapless sect is doomed sooner or later.
Before Wen Que can sort out the details revealed by the lightning strike, she discovers that her junior sister, a shameless flirt who plays with men's hearts, is showing off the handsome young man she just "stole" and brought up the mountain. Wen Que can't help clutching her head and ranting to herself:
[We're doomed! My junior sister is such a heartless flirt! Why does she steal every man she sees? Does she know he's the little prince of the neighboring Demon Realm? They're tearing the place apart looking for him! They'll come knocking tomorrow!]
Junior sister: "Wen Jiujiu, say that again?"
Wen Que: Huh?
The disciples of Venerable Luofeng of Wuyafeng Peak, Tianyang Sect, are all extraordinarily talented. Only the third disciple, who is neither here nor there, has no obvious gifts, and people often forget that there's someone like her on Wuyafeng Peak.
Even Venerable Luofeng himself often forgets he has this disciple. The other disciples rarely notice they have a junior or senior sister like her either, until one day they discover they can hear Wen Que's thoughts, and those thoughts concern them deeply.
[Ahhh, Second Senior Sister, don't go! If you leave the mountain this time, you won't come back! That murderous fiance will stab you to death on your wedding night. He's going to kill his wife to prove the Dao! Ahhh!]
Second Senior Sister, about to leave the mountain, stumbles. What?
The next day, Second Senior Sister beats her good-for-nothing fiance half to death, takes the "compensation" from him, and saunters back to the sect, generously giving Wen Que more than half.
Wen Que: Huh?
Junior Brother is happily about to share the pastries his childhood sweetheart sent with his fellow disciples when he hears Wen Que muttering to herself.
[If I remember right, these pastries are leftovers from a banquet at his childhood sweetheart's house. They've been sitting around for days. Aren't they past their expiration date?]
Junior Brother: ???
[And if I remember right, that banquet was to arrange a marriage for his childhood sweetheart. The next time Junior Brother goes back, she's going to dump him?]
Junior Brother: !!!
A few days later, Junior Brother returns with a pale face but clear, relieved eyes. He hands Wen Que a storage bag full of pills and spirit stones. "You're still the one who's best to me, Third Senior Sister!"
Wen Que: Huh?
When Senior Brother finally returns to the sect, his usually expressionless face bears the faintest smile. He's found his long-lost family, and his gaze has softened.
Seeing how foolishly happy Senior Brother looks, Wen Que's heart trembles:
[Hapless Senior Brother has no idea that his family knew where he was from the start, and that they were the ones who abandoned him back then. Now they've called him back because they want his sword bone, so they can carve it out and transplant it into his useless younger brother!]
Senior Brother: "..."
Not long after, Senior Brother returns to the sect with blood staining his hair and tosses Wen Que a storage bag. "There's enough in here to forge you a decent natal sword."
Wen Que stares at him blankly. "Senior Brother, did you just come back from a robbery?"
Senior Brother nods. "Mm."
Wen Que: "But Senior Brother, I'm not a sword cultivator!"
Senior Brother: "..."
Even Venerable Luofeng, who spends all his time brooding over lost love in the forbidden grounds behind the mountain, hears the thoughts of his third disciple, whom he barely remembers.
[Ah, Master is crying again. Should I tell him that Master's wife has long since been reincarnated, and no amount of forbidden magic can bring her back?]
Venerable Luofeng: ???
[If Master keeps crying in secret like this, Master's wife has probably already married someone else, right?]
Venerable Luofeng: !!!
Venerable Luofeng emerges from seclusion and sweeps past like a gust of wind, scooping up Wen Que, who's still muttering to herself.
Wen Que: Huh?
As the most inconspicuous disciple on Wuyafeng Peak of Tianyang Sect, Wen Que often thinks: This hapless sect is doomed without me.
The hapless members of the sect: You're absolutely right!
Theme: As a healer, one must have firm convictions and hold fast to one's principles. No matter how difficult the road ahead, always keep a compassionate heart.
The front part is good, then it starts to go downhill in the middle. The final ending was too hasty! There are many foreshadowings left in the past that have not been resolved. Where did the male protagonist get his poison? Who gave the poison? Why was the Wen family member who looked almost the same as Wen Ziheng also poisoned by the same poison as the male protagonist? Who was the mastermind behind Xiao Yan's blood poisoning? Why did Feng Changdong get the same blood poison as Xiao Yan? Why did the original male protagonist Wen Ziheng rebel and leave home for many years? The conflict between the male protagonist and his mother is not written enough. The result of them becoming strangers is clearly explained, but the reasons leading to this result are explained in a few words. What happened to Elder Jiang, Xiao Xiang and Jiang Miaomiao was briefly mentioned here without explaining it clearly at all.
Where did the hero's poison come from, why was Xiao Yan targeted, what secret did Elder Jiang have, and who poisoned Uncle Wen.
After reading it, it's amazing and well written.
Is it possible to write a sequel, a short essay about the fairy world?
Did I miss it? What happened to Elder Jiang? Who gave Feng and Yan the blood poison?
It's been on the bookshelf for a long time, and I finally finished reading it today
Many questions were not explained clearly, which is a bit disappointing.
After reading it, I was confused. I felt like it was a running story between the male and female protagonists.
I also like Guaiguai, but he didn't appear again later. It would be better if he did.
