Warning: melodrama, the top pursues his wife after the breakup, getting back together after a breakup, old-school fiction, and overwrought writing.

There are so many warnings, so don't pick a fight with me. If you do, it'll bounce right back at you.

"When I know it's you, I fear neither the vast sea nor the storm. You'll be mine, sooner or later."

Loving someone is hard. Even harder is erasing that love from your memories and letting it fade away completely.

After nine years, just as Xie Wanying had settled happily into a life where that love had "faded away," he suddenly appeared again.

That day, Jiang Huai took hold of her. His usually stern face was filled with an intense vulnerability.

"Wanying, can't we just talk properly, for once?"

Those words exposed the weakness she'd kept hidden all this time, and her heart, battered and broken.

"Mr. Jiang, you'd better call me Director Xie from now on."

Xie Wanying pulled her hand away. The sharp clicks of her heels paused at the doorway, but only for a moment.

"You were the one who left first."

An angsty pursuit, with a happy ending.
