How Hard Is It to Raise an Insectoid?

[New Update: I’ve started a Detective Conan fanfic, a side story about Dudu raising seven-year-old Xiao Shu. It’s called "Something Seems Off at Mr. Cocktail’s House." Come check it out if you’re interested!] Yu Mengruo transmigrated into an insect. The good news was that he was a rare male insect, entitled to special privileges, and had the standard golden finger that came with transmigration. The bad news was that insects were a species that revered the strong. The original owner had just failed to advance, been abandoned by his family, and now had to choose a mate from a very limited pool within three days. His options all had dismal overall ratings, and once he chose one, he’d be stepping into the prison of marriage. After a brief spell of bewilderment, Yu Mengruo reserved the mate position for the original owner’s fallen first love. The original owner’s unrequited first love was a military female insect born into poverty, but determined to make something of himself. After suffering a grievous injury that was impossible to fully heal, he had no choice but to retire in disgrace from a high-ranking position in the military corps. Now he was viewed with disdain and nitpicked as a defective product. When a once-sharp sword was dulled by dust, Yu Mengruo appeared (or so he thought) as a dazzling savior, reaching out to the female insect in his desperate plight. The female insect: Is this your revenge for when I rejected you? [Dead inside.jpg] Yu Mengruo: Nonsense. I’m your reward for working so hard to live. Theme: Dreams and hard work lead to success.
