Warning in advance: Lots of melodrama and angst for the bottom. Because of the author's personal preference, the bottom is a battle-scarred beauty type, so he gets hurt a lot and is often weighed down by love. In short, he's very miserable.
The top has a pretty crazy way of thinking that's unlike a normal person's. Normal people would think there's something wrong with him, but he thinks he's perfectly normal, so his entanglement with the bottom is very angsty and toxic, and there isn't much of a pursuit-his-wife-to-the-crematorium arc.
There are also all kinds of bizarre, mutually destructive, battle-scarred characters, probably because the author's mind is a little strange too. I don't consider this a scum-and-masochist story, but I can't guarantee readers won't see it that way. If any of this is a deal-breaker, please take note and drop the story. Read this warning carefully before deciding whether to continue or drop it.
Blurb:
After saving the world and becoming famous throughout the land, Immortal Venerable Ling Rangjin retreats into seclusion to recover from his injuries. Unfortunately, before he can heal, he receives some news.
The world he's in is a cultivation novel about a toxic gay romance, and he's only a supporting character in the book.
Worst of all, his longtime rival and old lover, Demon Venerable Bu Fanshuang, will kidnap him in the second half of the story. After that, the two of them will disappear without a trace, and apparently Ling Rangjin is supposed to die.
After hearing this, Ling Rangjin asks with interest, "So you're saying Fanshuang is going to kill me? Somehow, that doesn't seem right."
Just then, Bu Fanshuang, who has finally found the path up the mountain, leans against the doorway and smiles. "As expected of my soulmate, A-Jin. If I took you away, it would be to elope with you. Coming here to fight you like this is how I'd kill you."
Ling Rangjin coughs twice, smiling as he sways like a willow in the wind. "So, like you said, you eventually fell in love with me?"
Bu Fanshuang replies, "No. Even though I'm very good to you, even though I enjoy playing out the entanglement between an overbearing Demon Venerable and a gentle Immortal Venerable, and even though we love and fight each other, you can't fall for me. If you do, I'll kill you. I don't like people falling for me, and I don't want to fall for anyone."
Ling Rangjin fans himself and smiles. "All right, all right. We can work that out."
Years later, Bu Fanshuang stands alone atop a snowy mountain, as handsome as a tree, looking down over the world with his hands behind his back. The higher you climb, the colder it gets. "If anyone in this world understands me, it's the Immortal Venerable."
The people of the Immortal Dao: "..."
Bu Fanshuang sighs. "What a pity. What a pity."
The people of the Immortal Dao: "What a pity?"
Bu Fanshuang smiles. "What a pity that such a fine Immortal Venerable belongs to me now. Doesn't that make you mad? I hope it makes you furious. Hehe."
The people of the Immortal Dao: "..."
Crazy Demon Venerable top x gentle, saintly Immortal Venerable bottom
Neurotic, sarcastic, bizarrely logical, mad beauty top x gentle, kind, reserved, secretly cunning, sickly beauty bottom
Warnings: The top follows his own bizarre logic. The bottom is a violent saintly type (in a good way). There is a secondary couple, whose story drives the main couple's plot.
One-on-one pairing. The top and bottom only have eyes for each other. All the cannon fodder are just cannon fodder, not even worth a second glance from the leads.
Secondary couple: transmigrated apprentice top x original-story Alliance Leader bottom; lazy, sarcastic, straight-man top x outwardly icy, inwardly devoted bottom (Feng Qiongye x Bian Chenwu)
Here's an upcoming story, Like This Green Mountain (now updating). Please add it to your reading list!
Immortal Lord Xi Yun is admired by the Three Realms. He's beautiful, aloof, and powerful. Aside from the faction of the Heavenly Emperor, who fear his influence and status, everyone loves him.
People pursue him one after another, but Xi Yun is as steady as an iceberg. Just when everyone thinks he'll spend his life alone, Demon Lord Cang Han appears out of nowhere and takes Xi Yun home.
In the Ghost City, where vengeful spirits howl and the air reeks of blood, Cang Han seems to be standing amid peach blossoms. He holds Xi Yun's hand in his and smiles gently.
"Three hundred years ago, I met the Immortal Lord and found him a kindred spirit. We traveled together, then turned against each other and crossed swords. I've spent three hundred years cultivating in seclusion, seeing nothing of the world. Has your heart finally grown still, Immortal Lord?"
Xi Yun looks back at him in silence. The prophecy of his fate surges into his mind once more, as countless nightmares descend.
"I will never speak of romance with the Demon Lord in this life."
Then heaven and earth are overturned, and catastrophe engulfs the Three Realms. Xi Yun breaks his vow, Cang Han gets his wish, and although the prophecy says they will be parted by life and death, they will remain together, even if their souls are destroyed.
Later, when everything is settled and the two have retired from the world, someone asks Cang Han how he managed to melt ice into spring water and make snow give way to blooming flowers. Cang Han only smiles. "You need thick skin, a clever heart, and the courage to follow your own desires. You also need someone you love who is soft-hearted enough to give in."
I look upon the green mountains and find them charming; I imagine they see me the same way.
HE, one-on-one
Outwardly carefree, inwardly a scheming green tea; loves stirring up trouble; Demon Lord top x aloof and reserved, outwardly cold but inwardly devoted and kind, with the world in his heart; Immortal Lord bottom (Cang Han x Xi Yun)
Warnings: There is angst, misunderstandings, melodrama, and twists. If any of this makes you uncomfortable, please consider dropping the story.
Theme: Ride the wind and break the waves, never give up. No matter how many difficulties stand in your way, push through the thorns and keep moving forward
The protagonist's long mouth looks like he's humming happily
It's over! Watching the extra makes people feel warm 😳
Wuhu has refreshed it again and it looks good.
It's so beautiful, it's so beautiful. I haven't seen something so beautiful and so in line with my taste in a long time.
"I am willing" to catch a big bug for the author~
