I Became a Little Caretaker of the Underworld

[Blurb]

After senior programmer Shang Zhe drops dead, his soul returns to the underworld. Not only does he fail to get the full reincarnation package, he nearly loses his soul for good. Faced with this disastrous situation, he thinks fast and clings to a beauty's leg. From then on, he becomes the exclusive wage slave of Emperor Fengdu.

Life is just so, so, so, so hard. :(

While alive, he worked 996. After death...

Shang Zhe grins foolishly. After death, it's actually awesome!!!

He gets a salary in the hundreds of millions, leads a project, has a whole bunch of underlings, takes on a talented disciple to help shoulder the burden, swipes the emperor's golden token, and even gets to... with him...

In short, life in the underworld is pretty fun.

Shang Zhe feels an ever-stronger sense of belonging to the underworld. As one of its members, he is determined to do everything he can to help build it up.

He not only improves the efficiency of reincarnation in the underworld, but also promotes the idea that technology can improve lives, establishes a teaching system, organizes resources systematically and according to plan, and trains a powerful new army...

He has truly worried himself sick and talked himself hoarse, working hard without complaint. That's why everyone calls him the underworld's little housekeeper behind his back.

Until one night, he finally works up the courage to call the emperor.

"Boss, I wanted to say..."

"I'm listening."

"Boss, I... don't want to work hard anymore."

"Kid, do you know how long I've been waiting for you to say that?" The emperor's lips curve into a smile.

"I know."
