The moment Wu Yan wakes up, a woman in red is sitting beside him. She tells him, "Your name is Wu Yan, and you're my personal guard..."
The smile at the corner of her lips deepens. Her red-painted fingertip lightly touches his lips. She leans closer, her fragrance surrounding him, and whispers against his mouth, "And you're also the one who shares my bed."
"You were injured saving me. It's all right. I'll help you recover your lost memories, little by little."
"My name is Zhi Yi. You chose the name Wu Yan for yourself. Wu Yan knows my heart. See? Even our names suit each other perfectly."
Wu Yan doesn't believe his name is really Wu Yan, but from the moment he opened his eyes, he'd lost every memory, including his name. Without giving anything away, he watches the woman remove her hairpin, her dark tresses spilling down like a waterfall...
They'd known each other since childhood, and Yan Hui had always hated Xie Yungui, the favored son of heaven, with his haughty, high-and-mighty manner.
Unfortunately, even after losing his memories, he still acts just like the man he used to be. Even the way he looks at her is exactly the same as before, full of disdain. Just looking at him makes her eyes hurt.
She was kind enough to save him, and this is the thanks she gets? If that's how it is, then she ought to drag him from his pristine white robes into the mud.
Since he hates her so much, why not make him her male concubine and have him sell his beauty? When his memories return and he learns the truth, what a fun expression he'll have.
Novel blurb
The day Yue Wan woke up was her fifteenth birthday.
Her family was still alive, her power reached across the court, and the emperor himself came to offer birthday wishes. The whole city of Chang'an was celebrating her special day.
If her soul hadn't lived through the decades to come, she thought she would have been the happiest girl in Chang'an.
On the day Miss Wan of the Grand Preceptor's household celebrated her birthday, the emperor intended to arrange her marriage to the crown prince, Yan Lin. It should have been a joyous occasion, but Miss Wan unexpectedly burst into tears and fainted in front of everyone.
After his granddaughter had been ill for over half a month, Grand Preceptor Lu went to the palace with a keepsake exchanged between the royal family and his household many years ago. He said that, as agreed, he would marry his granddaughter to the former crown prince, now Prince Yong'an, Yan Chen.
The people of Chang'an gaped. Had the Grand Preceptor gone mad?
It was true that in his youth, Yan Chen had been handsome and graceful, noble and dashing. Whenever he walked down Vermilion Bird Avenue, the young women along the street would blush and sneak glances at him. But after an accident, he could never stand again. He lost any hope of becoming emperor, and grew increasingly gloomy, as good as an invalid.
Yan Chen had long disliked being around other people. But he couldn't resist the longing in his heart, and went to the birthday celebration at the Grand Preceptor's residence after all. He never expected the little girl to burst into tears the moment she saw him.
Yan Chen mocked himself, lowering his head to look at his legs. Why should a useless man like him get in anyone's way?
But half a month later, the little girl he thought he'd never see again appeared before him once more, her eyes seeming to spill moonlight: "Brother Zilan, I don't want to break off our engagement."
Like the bright moon in the sky, she fell into my arms.

"The Madam Is a Master of the Art of Tea"
At first, Shen Yu thought Wen Yu was incredibly gentle and considerate toward him. Naturally, he assumed Wen Yu must love him very much.
After he was poisoned in an ambush, he only realized the truth after the poison was cured: Wen Yu was attentive to him in public, but in private...
One day, he had to stay overnight at the government office. Wen Yu packed everything he needed and reluctantly saw him off. "It's snowing so heavily tonight. Why do you have to go to the office, my lord?"
But he clearly heard the jubilation in Wen Yu's heart: Yes! The Grim Reaper Shen has finally left. That pot of strong spring wine should be just about ready, and I can have the kitchen make some mutton soup and snowball cakes.
Wen Yu feels like life has been rough lately.
Shen Yu seems to be picking on her at every turn.
At a palace banquet, she appears completely engrossed in the singing and dancing, but her eyes keep drifting toward the snacks on the table. The palace has made her favorite golden three-layer cakes today! Her appetite stirs, and she thinks she'll have to savor some later.
At last, it's time to eat. Shen Yu expressionlessly puts one golden cake after another into his mouth until, in the blink of an eye, the plate is empty. Then he asks her, "These cakes are quite delicious. Why don't you try some, Madam?"
Wen Yu: I would love to! There's nothing left but an empty plate. What do you expect me to try?
Another day, Shen Yu comes home through the snow, carrying the chill of the storm with him. As usual, he's supposed to sleep in the study outside their bedroom.
Wen Yu's concern sounds heartfelt, but inside she's frantically thinking: Hurry up and go to the study, you walking block of ice. She wants to curl up in her warm bed, read some miscellany, and eat fruit.
She didn't expect him to readily take her polite suggestion and spread his arms, waiting calmly for her to attend to him.
Wen Yu approaches with a stiff smile, only for Shen Yu to pull her into his arms. His icy hand rests against her neck, making her shiver. Then he whispers in her ear, "Would you warm me up, Madam?"

Theme: A beautiful future, full of hope
"Nine" is a big bug for the author~
It's very beautiful. I like the love between Yue Wan and Yan Chen.
When I wrote about Longwei Town, I thought there would be a scene where Nian Nian and Yue Wan would meet, but it ended unexpectedly!
