"Husband, your eyes will surely get better. Otherwise, it would be such a shame." Ah Tang rested her chin in her hands and smiled at Song Yan.
Song Yan replied coldly, "Since you look down on me as a cripple, I'll give you a letter of divorce today. You can marry someone else."
Ah Tang wasn't angry. She kept smiling. "Everyone says I'm beautiful enough to captivate the world. If you can't see me with your own eyes, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Don't you think that would be a shame?"
Song Yan was taken aback.
Later, when Ah Tang took a blade for him, a drop of blood from her heart fell into his eyes. Amid a sky of blood, he saw Ah Tang smiling at him, just as she'd always said: beautiful enough to captivate the world.
He regained his sight, yet would rather have remained in eternal darkness.
Ah Tang was unloved by her father and mother, and a marriage contract bound her to the Song family's third son. He was a refined gentleman, admired throughout the capital for his elegance and talent. But after someone plotted against him, he lost his sight and became a cripple. His nature changed, too. He grew violent and eccentric, going from someone everyone adored to someone everyone despised.
Everyone knew that after marrying the Third Young Master, Ah Tang would likely be abused until she wished she were dead.
Ah Tang thought so too. She pretended to tremble with fear as she climbed into the bridal sedan and entered the courtyard of the Song family's Third Young Master.
But on their wedding night, the red candles flickered, their wax dripped hot, and the Third Young Master's phoenix eyes were tinged red.
Every tender, loving "Ah Tang" landed in her heart.

I'll make a bargain with fate. I'll willingly give up my sight forever in exchange for you staying by my side., A letter in Song Yan's own hand
I never made a bargain with fate. I'll make sure you can see me by your side again., Ah Tang, who accidentally came across the letter and added a line of her own
A note for readers: The synopsis and the actual plot differ somewhat, but the story hasn't gone off course. The synopsis isn't wrong; it just leaves out a tiny bit of the plot. Also, this synopsis was written almost a year ago, so the male and female leads are more fully developed than they were back then.

Coming soon: My Wife Is Seriously Ill
A Cai's husband was a noble and gentle gentleman, considerate, eloquent, and skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. They had been deeply in love since their wedding, and were famous in the capital as a perfect couple.
But when A Cai woke one morning, she was horrified to discover that, aside from his face, her husband had become a completely different person: a notorious, merciless man, skilled with a blade and able to kill in ten paces, a living demon who specialized in torture and interrogation.
This couldn't be her husband!

The Northern Commandery Bureau has been swamped with work lately, and Shen Zhao has been away from home for a month. A frantic letter arrives from his grandmother: his wife of six months has fallen and hit her head, and is close to death. She asks him to come home and see her one last time.
He had always been cold-hearted and respected only his grandmother. He hurried home that night, paying no attention to anyone he passed.
Just as he was about to enter the room, someone grabbed his sleeve. By reflex, he drew his blade and swung. The other person cried, "Husband!" and fainted.
He barely managed to stop his blade. Looking at the woman collapsed on the ground, he tried to remember his wife, only to realize that he had even forgotten what she looked like. He vaguely recalled others praising her gentle nature. Seeing that he had frightened her into fainting, he felt a rare twinge of guilt.
Who could have guessed that after she woke, her personality would change completely, and she'd spend every day finding new ways to cause trouble?
Sometimes she held up a demon-revealing mirror and said, "What kind of wandering spirit are you? Get out of my husband's body!"
Sometimes she wept pitifully before him. "My husband would never treat me like this. He's so gentle and considerate. He paints and writes poetry for me, and plays music with me. He's nothing like you, all fierce and mean." She cried endlessly, like a reincarnated tearful puppy.
Sometimes she raised his chin haughtily and told him with a cold expression, "Smile. That's how you should look, like him."
The dignified Thousand-Captain of the Northern Commandery Bureau had to restrain himself again and again to keep from drawing his blade.

Coming soon: Stealing My Sister's Husband
Zhou Jin, heir to the Pingyang Marquis household, spent seventeen years growing up in the waterside towns of Jiangnan. Then an imperial edict arrived announcing that the princess was choosing a husband, and Zhou Jin was summoned back to the capital to compete for her hand.
That's right, her.
To secure her position as heir, Zhou Jin's parents had raised her as a boy from birth.
The Marquis and his wife were tearing their hair out. When they'd raised their daughter as a son, they had never imagined she might one day have to marry a princess. If her true identity were exposed, the whole family would be executed.
Zhou Jin flicked open her fan, looking carefree and unconcerned. She even reassured the Marquis and his wife: "Don't worry, Father and Mother. When it comes to being a wastrel, no real man can beat me. As long as the emperor isn't blind, he won't choose a wastrel as his daughter's husband."
Zhou Jin went to the capital with her concubine and beloved maid. She'd spend one day after another causing trouble: today she'd set her sights on the courtesan at Xiangyun Pavilion, tomorrow she'd force a beautiful common girl into her household. The princess got angry just seeing her and had no intention of making her consort at all.
Zhou Jin secretly celebrated and prepared to go home.
But can someone tell her why she managed to avoid the princess, but not the princess's older brother?
The Crown Prince keeps looking at her strangely. Could he be trying to get into a relationship with another man?
The Crown Prince, Zhao Xing, was one of the few upright, self-disciplined, and clear-minded members of the royal family, nothing like a wastrel.
But no one knew that he'd fallen for his future brother-in-law at first sight.
Naturally, he wasn't interested in men. He knew perfectly well that the person he liked was a woman. It was a secret no one else knew.
It was also a leash he could use to keep her by his side.
What did it matter if he seemed like a proper gentleman? None of that was important, was it?
Theme: May you meet the one you love. She is the center of your world, irreplaceable.
"He is the proud son of heaven, even if he falls..." This is a big bug for the author~ "Then why is the one at the back missing?"
Ah, this result is better than death. Why is the male protagonist so affectionate, but the female protagonist remarries? I feel like I am being stabbed and have a lump in my throat.
I read it in one sitting, great article. Especially the male protagonist is a bit too nice. If the female protagonist doesn't take the initiative, will he never see her again in his life?
I stayed up late to read it, and I really liked this novel.
I like it, thank the author for writing this book
So he escaped and remarried?
Catching insects, "Mo Yang" → "look"?
Ah Tang in the previous life was so lively
Even though I guessed it, I still hahahahaha
Can there be more extra stories about past lives? I still feel like I don't know why the male protagonist is so afraid of the second male lead.
