A Private Message from the Deep Sea

Their breakup was far from pleasant.

Chu Yuan threw every memento of their relationship into the sea. Her words were as final as a knife, making Cheng Ke's eyes burn red with anger.

"Don't you dare regret this!"

After saying that, Cheng Ke walked away without looking back.

What he didn't know was that when he was out of sight, Chu Yuan wandered along the shore, searching and sounding frustrated.

"I didn't throw them that far."

When they meet again, Chu Yuan is a chart-topping singer with countless fans. She comes to the beach to shoot the music video for her new song.

Her manager knows how seriously she takes her work and abandons the idea of using a stand-in, instead finding her a popular, experienced diving instructor.

Chu Yuan looks up and sees a familiar face, her feelings complicated. ...What a coincidence.

The lessons should have been calm and ordinary, but their daily time together soon takes a different turn.

"Is that guy going to put his arms around you like I do?"

"It's part of the script... Wait! What business is it of yours?"

"Are there kissing scenes, too?"

"It's work! Do you even know what work is?!"

Chu Yuan is determined to focus on work, but after one too many of Cheng Ke's deliberate, casual flirtations, she finally loses patience.

"Looks like what I said that day wasn't harsh enough!"

Looking at her tough act, Cheng Ke smiles, dangerous and wicked.

He picks a pinky ring strung on a red cord from between Chu Yuan's collarbones and speaks in a husky voice.

"I regret it."

He meant to make her be the one to come crawling back, but in the end, he was the one who lost.

This little hedgehog is impossible for anyone but him to put up with.
