Don't You Have a Wife of Your Own?

"I want him to take it one step at a time and choose to come back to me on his own."

-

Another cute idea that struck me out of nowhere, so this one will be short, too.

A story about rekindling a broken relationship. Simply put, the uke broke up with the seme for reasons beyond his control. When they meet again years later, the uke realizes he never got over him, but the wounds in his heart are holding him back. He is tormented by these conflicting feelings.

/

As for the seme, as soon as he runs into the uke again, he starts playing hard to get. Not the conventional kind. He watches the uke stand still, knowing he still loves him, but makes no move and has no intention of chasing after him again. What he wants is for the uke to open his heart to him again, little by little, and choose to come back to him on his own... As they spend time together, he learns everything the uke went through after their breakup and realizes from their interactions that the uke still likes him. Somehow, he's not only heartbroken for him, but also wants him even more to come back of his own accord, one step at a time. (The key point is that the uke comes back on his own.)

He wants the uke to be torn apart by intense, conflicting emotions, and to come back to him and love him despite it all. Only then can he feel that his love is being returned in equal measure.
