The Pretend Scholar

As soon as Yan Li woke up, he discovered he'd become Yan Suizhi, with no family, no friends, and no known background.

Trouble came knocking, and to save his own skin, he had no choice but to pretend to be a reclusive scholar. Who knew he'd accidentally activate the Scholar System?

[Ding! A scholar ahead is singing naked. Host, please imitate him!]

[Ding! A scholar ahead is hanging himself with a silk sash. Host, please imitate him!]

[Ding! A scholar ahead is taking drugs to indulge in pleasure. Host, please imitate him!]

Yan Li: "...Speak plainly."

[Host, please strip, hang yourself, and take poison to successfully impersonate a scholar!]

Yan Li: "..." He understood. This thing was broken.

While pretending to be a scholar, Yan Li was caught up in a conflict between genuine scholars. Just as he thought he could pack up and head to the mountains to farm, he discovered that his identity in this body wasn't so simple.

Yan Li: "Wasn't I just trying to be a proper scholar? How did the imperial throne get involved?"

[Host's identity unlocked. This System is now officially renamed the Emperor System. Host, please keep working hard.]

Yan Li: "..." Forget it. I should just throw this thing away.
