The Omniscient Saniwa's Many Secret Identities

I’ve opened a new upcoming novel, Debuting Is Better Than Going to Battle (the kind of title that’s obviously made up on the spot). It expands on the extras, so please add it to your library, lovely readers~ I always thought the greatest happiness for a working adult was getting paid to do a job you love. But after meeting them, I realized I was wrong. The greatest happiness is doing what you love, turning it into a profitable business along the way, and sharing it generously. Even if following you around means I’m always getting dragged into all kinds of bizarre incidents and dealing with all kinds of bizarre people (wait, are they really people?), or getting flamed by all kinds of monsters and demons at weird hours over weird things (I’m sure these are definitely not people in the biological sense! How could anyone not like them?)… But for the money and fame, Director! And all you teachers, please accept my humble knees! I’m willing to keep doing this until I retire! This is a heartfelt declaration from a talent agent who attracts trust-fund kids, addressed to the promising rookies under her management. #How do those of you who joined the New Beginnings Project manage to treat everyone equally?# “I joined the New Beginnings Project, but I feel like all the tsukumogami who came to my Honmaru are a little distant. They’re all great, but I still feel more comfortable around the swords I forged myself QAQ. How do you all handle relationships with tsukumogami who already have previous owners?” 1L: “Just shamelessly cling to them. That’s all there is to it.” 2L: “Same as the poster above. Also, keep wound medicine on hand and go to the Government Affairs building for psychological evaluations regularly.” 3L: “Thanks for asking. To be honest, I haven’t noticed any difference. If you think things feel awkward, you could hold more activities, like a Hyakumonogatari ghost-story gathering, group shopping, catching thieves, or a closed-book exam. Give the young ones a chance to show what they’re good at, and your relationships will naturally improve.” 4L: “What’s with the closed-book exam in the post above? I want to see the test you set (grinning).” 5L: “A legendary senior on the third floor!” 6L: “Genuine question: which senior is the person on the third floor? They sound pretty unreliable. Wouldn’t doing that just annoy the other person?” 7L: “Have you ever seen that big photo of a Saniwa and tsukumogami in military uniforms at Senpou Clothing in the Wan Shop? That’s the senior they’re talking about.” 8L: “Whoa! That’s my idol! I’d pay a thousand Koshu gold just to get a reprint! The ones circulating outside are so blurry!” 9L: “He was one of the first Saniwa to join the New Beginnings Project. His mission completion rate is 100%, and the Government Affairs Office’s notoriously difficult tsukumogami are all in his Honmaru. Then they all got along and took that iconic photo for the ages. Do you really think his advice is useless? If even one of his tsukumogami came to my Honmaru, I’d lose the hair I still have.” 10L: “I know who you mean, teehee.” 11L: “I was so narrow-minded. Senior, look at me! Do you sell your tests? Need a fanboy? Anything else? I’m up for it!” 12L: “Hey, watch what you say. If someone finds out you’re hanging around the senior’s Honmaru and ruining the picture-perfect image, they’ll put a sack over your head.” 13L: “Message me for a high-definition color reprint! One of a kind, no other shops! You’ll be able to make out every detail of everyone’s clothes!” 14L: “Well, since we’ve got this far, I have to ask.” 15L: “Does the New Beginnings Project have a lot to do with looks?” 16L: “Does the New Beginnings Project have a lot to do with looks?” … The original poster locked the thread and changed the question to: #How do those of you in the New Beginnings Project who are ·a·v·e·r·a·g·e ·l·o·o·k·i·n·g manage to treat everyone equally?# Please answer freely. The everyday life of a Saniwa and sword warriors, doing one job for two paychecks. No couples, but I hope you’ll feel a bond deeper than love, closer than family, and more bound by life and death than friendship… the bond between a superior and subordinates. A mountain of original worldbuilding. There may be an alternate historical setting. No outline; the plot will go wherever the author’s stream of consciousness takes it. No corruption, because I can’t write heavy stuff. As long as you’re alive, I hope you can all find happiness and joy. If you haven’t played the game, I highly recommend it. You can get a real sense of accomplishment without spending money. I also recommend the anime, musicals, and stage plays inspired by it~ Theme: Find happiness in everyday life
