An Unemployed Onmyoji Becomes a Spirit Warden

My new novel, "The Wonderful Journey of Mikazuki," is now open for favorites. Blurb below.

Zhaohua, whose real name is Tsuchimikado Akira, is a descendant of the great onmyoji Abe no Seimei. He has powerful spiritual energy and exceptional talent, but was born in the wrong era and has never seen anything supernatural.

To keep from wasting his life, he takes a different path and enters the world of swords, only to be slapped in the face by cold reality: he can't summon a single sword tsukumogami!

Just as he accepts his fate, the Time Government gives him a corrupted Honmaru.

There are a full 23 sword tsukumogami in the Honmaru!

Satisfied, he moves into the corrupted Honmaru and begins living a decadent life surrounded by tsukumogami.

But before long, his Honmaru starts getting stranger and stranger...

A hole that sends anyone who falls into it to another world...

A white-haired dog demon in red clothes who appears out of nowhere...

A man flying around the Honmaru, shouting "Seimei!"...

The young man with a crescent moon reflected in his eyes grabs Zhaohua's hand and firmly closes the door. "Hahaha, if you keep taking our master to strange places, even this old man will get angry."

Pairing: Mikazuki x Zhaohua

[Upcoming novel: "The Wonderful Journey of Mikazuki"]

Mikazuki was the last sword to arrive at the Honmaru. He spent his days drinking tea and enjoying the scenery, occasionally fighting the time-traveling army. After reaching level 99 by eating sweets, he suddenly learns:

--- He's being fostered.

His real master calls himself a guardian of time and space. Mikazuki's job is to serve as his master's assistant and travel with him to different eras to retrieve fugitives from time and space.

And so...

In Shugo Chara!, he's a Shugo Chara born from an egg.

In Cardcaptor Sakura, he's a magical creature brought into being.

Mikazuki: Whether I'm a person or a sword, bigger is better. Hahaha, this old man wants to have a normal-sized body for once.

And then he gets his wish: he becomes a princess in Princess Princess.

[Skits]

Sweetheart Mikazuki: Hahaha, sure, go ahead and touch me.

The master blocks the other Sweethearts swarming toward him with one hand and hides Mikazuki in his sleeve with the other.

He warns them: "Looking is fine, but no touching."

Cat Mikazuki: Licks his paw obediently.jpg

The master's cat: Twists its body to block hands reaching for Mikazuki from every angle, then gets mistaken for a cat that likes being petted and is forced to endure twice as much human affection.

Ability-user Mikazuki: Hahaha, I'm a sword, not a person.

The master: Quickly takes off his coat and covers Mikazuki with it. Even if you're a sword, you can't strip in public!

Pairing: Mikazuki x Master
