The protagonist of a Western fantasy novel: Slaying the evil dragon is my destiny. Luo Nan: Dear, there are no dragons here. And even if there were, they’d be protected wildlife! 3. The protagonist of a Mary Sue novel: I can’t cry. Whenever I do, thunder crashes and storms rage. Luo Nan: Dear, I recommend you help with the drought. Room and board included, top-tier benefits. 4. The protagonists of melodramatic tragedies: I’ll get revenge on him/her and make him/her suffer the way I did. Luo Nan: Dear, this is a society ruled by law. Don’t try to become an outlaw! And just as expected, the relevant authorities come knocking. “Young man, you have an extraordinary look about you. How about serving your country?” Luo Nan: “H-How do I serve my country?” The relevant authorities: “How about a novel about making our country stronger?” Soon, scientific research in Huaguo advances rapidly, and countries around the world wonder if they’ve found a treasure. Huaguo’s leaders say: “No treasure, but we do have one patriotic young man.” Please note: 2. The nation-strengthening arc comes later. Theme: World peace
