Quenching Thirst with a Plum in Sight

Blurb: Everyone knows that Lord Ming is the son of a traitor, and that he rose to prominence by selling out his younger brother. It was only because he ruthlessly sent his twin brother, Ming Mei, to the bed of Gu Zheng, the Crown Prince's eldest son, that he secured his steady climb to success. Only Ming Mei knows that things weren't as they seemed. When the three of them first met, Gu Zheng had fallen for his brother at first sight, not him. Gu Zheng let him approach only to satisfy his longing from afar. And Ming Mei was willing to do it. He thought he could go on being willing forever, but in the end, the heart always wants more. He could no longer stand the distant, empty look in Gu Zheng's eyes whenever he gazed at him, nor could he bear Gu Zheng's intent gaze always landing squarely on his brother. * Everyone knows that Lord Ming is the son of a traitor, and that he rose to prominence by selling out his younger brother. It was only because he ruthlessly sent his twin brother, Ming Mei, to the bed of Gu Zheng, the Crown Prince's eldest son, that he secured his steady climb to success. Only Ming Bai knows things weren't as they seemed. He never offered up his younger brother. His brother went willingly. What he offered the Crown Prince's eldest son was a pair of purple crystal spectacles, bought at great expense with his entire fortune on the line. A pair of spectacles, also known as reading stones, single-lens spectacles, eye rings, or eyeglasses. * Ming Mei (anguished): I'm not going to keep wearing dark clothes like my brother! I want to be myself again! I want him to see me! Ming Bai (really wants to lecture his younger brother but doesn't dare offend his brother-in-law, so he bites his tongue): ...Every one of your man's subordinates wears dark clothes. You hapless kid, why don't you open your eyes and look at the world? CP: Gu Zheng [a tsundere crown prince with a slightly sharp tongue, gong] X Ming Mei [a gentle beauty who overthinks everything, shou] *My stories are about the gong and shou falling in love. I suggest that the illiterate Weibo user Yao Mei stop being so possessive of my author page. Everyone can go their own way. I won't be joining you. Theme: I've been driven to despair by illiterate Weibo users.
