He never expected to sign the contract, open the script, and discover that it was a romantic comedy, with Jing Yi listed as the other lead.

Mu Chengfeng: I wanted something like Star × Time Travel! What is this? What the hell is this?!

His producer friend thumped his chest and promised, "The character's emotional development is incredibly nuanced. If you do it well, you can still win Best Actor. Besides, you two working together is guaranteed to be a huge hit."

Mu Chengfeng: ...

Mu Chengfeng: That last part is the point, isn't it?!

His friend got down on his knees and begged him. "My company is about to run out of money. Just think of it as helping your good friend out. Please!"

Mu Chengfeng...

reluctantly agreed.

"Just this once. Don't ask again!"

And so Mu Chengfeng's daily routine became:

The regular scenes were easy enough, but the contract had one very important requirement: no stand-ins for the kissing scenes.

Mu Chengfeng: I want to die.

Jing Yi: If you don't want me to find out you can't kiss, just say so. We could fake it...

Mu Chengfeng: Who can't kiss?! You're the one who can't! Fine, let's do it! No stand-in, no fake angle. Let's see who can't kiss!

Jing Yi: :)

Furious, Mu Chengfeng decided to eat three or five chive pockets before filming and bite that guy's tongue while they kissed.

That day was absolute chaos.

And then,

Mu Chengfeng got trapped in that day.

Every morning, he woke to the familiar alarm, the familiar weather forecast, the familiar film crew, and the familiar assistant director calling out to him: "Chengfeng! Come kiss Jing Yi!"

Mu Chengfeng: ...

Kissing him every day! My mouth's going to fall apart! And we have to keep going? No, I don't want to do that!
