After Returning to the Past, I Was Adopted by My Nemesis

The Tyrant Chong Ming

Cruel and ruthless

And a fierce fighter

Zhu Lan had been lying low by his side for years. At last, he got the chance to assassinate him, and succeeded.

In the blink of an eye, the bastard got back up.

To escape the relentless pursuit and finish off the tyrant for good, he traveled back in time, returning to a thousand years earlier.

Back then, under the influence of the Nether God, beasts and ghosts ran rampant across the Huayi Continent. The people had suffered at their hands for ages and lived in misery.

Then a divine child named Chong Ming descended from heaven, endowed with immense strength. He traveled far and wide, saving the people from suffering, until he finally slew the Nether God. His prestige soared, and he proclaimed himself king.

Later, unable to resist temptation, he drank the blood of beasts and ghosts. His power grew tremendously, and his nature changed with it. He began to slaughter the various peoples, eventually becoming a tyrant.

Zhu Lan's mission was to stop Chong Ming before he slew the Nether God and gained an immortal body.

Either reform him or kill him.

But he accidentally traveled too far back, ending up in an even more distant age.

Back then, Chong Ming was a young man living in seclusion in the mountains, at peace with the world.

Hunting, farming.

But still a fierce fighter.

Worse, traveling back in time had drained all of Zhu Lan's strength, forcing him to regress into a harmless little child.

Fragile and helpless.

And ravenous.

Chong Ming: It's fine. I can afford to raise you.

Is he treating you like a child bride or something?

Zhu Lan: Given my limited understanding of His Majesty, I think it's more likely he sees me as emergency rations.

Theme: Never forget your original aspirations.
