I Started Cultivating the Dao After My Marriage Proposal Was Rejected

It was an open secret in Ancheng that the eldest daughter of the Li family, Li Shufei, was hopelessly in love with the second son of the Fu family.

But not only did the second young master Fu fail to show up at their engagement banquet, he also had a photo of himself fooling around with his lover delivered there. That very night, it spread like wildfire across the headlines of major entertainment outlets.

As a result, Li Shufei and the Li family became a laughingstock among high society.

That night, Li Shufei disappeared. The head of the Li family fell gravely ill and remained unconscious, while the eldest Li son fled after being caught embezzling. The second-in-command of the Li family took over.

Three months later, Li Shufei returned with an ancient mansion small enough to fit in her hand, accompanied by an extraordinarily beautiful man. She began her cheat-enabled life as a master of metaphysics.

At a certain banquet:

A young heiress: Li Shufei, how could a shrew like you compare to your gentle, virtuous cousin? No wonder Fu Ji abandoned you and chose to marry her.

Li Shufei sneered: Your glabella is dark. Within three days, you'll suffer a bloody calamity. Keep quiet, lest you create bad karma with your words.

The young heiress: ...

Three days later, the young heiress, her face wreathed in dark energy and leaning on a cane, sought out Li Shufei, who was living beneath an overpass.

The young heiress: Li Shufei, save me! Something unclean has attached itself to me. Please, save me!

Li Shufei: Heh! Apologize first, and then this master will consider whether to save you!

P.S. The heroine repays both kindness and grudges. The hero has a split personality, is a chuunibyou, and loves food.

Theme: The ties of this world are nothing but attachments. Only by laying down the butcher's knife can one attain enlightenment
