Saving the World by Digging Pits

Bai Zhechen was bound to a Pitfall System. The more people he lured into his pits, the more energy he could cash in.

Bai Zhechen: But what am I supposed to do with this energy?

System: Save Earth.

Bai Zhechen: ?

System: Earth is actually in danger. For example, an insect invasion, a bioweapon virus, aliens...

Bai Zhechen: Okay, I get it.

From then on, Bai Zhechen began his mad quest to dig pits.

His novels were never finished.

His movies were always delayed.

His songs never ran longer than three minutes.

His games' main storylines were never fully updated.

Then, to do a better job of saving this little, miserable planet, Bai Zhechen began granting special abilities to the friends who had fallen into his pits.

A note from the author:

Please follow my author page and check out the stories there. I'm begging you. This really matters to me [in a Lex voice].

Personally, I think I'm capable of writing trending stories, but my eyes have been blinded by dumbass fiction.
