Mr. Zhou Doesn't Want to Work Hard Anymore

After an accident, Zhou Chenxi is reborn and discovers he’s a supporting character in a book.

In his previous life, he gave up inheriting the family fortune to pursue his dream of joining the entertainment industry. In the end, no matter how hard he tried, he was only paving the way for someone else.

Having lost his dream, Zhou Chenxi lets out the cry of a lazy fish: “I never want to work hard again!”

After he goes back to inherit the family business, his agent keeps coming to see him.

Agent: “There’s a variety show looking for guests. Want to join?”

Zhou Chenxi sprawls like a lazy fish. “No.” The spot will go to the protagonist anyway.

“How about an endorsement for XX shampoo?”

“No.” They’ll just put the protagonist’s name on it in the end.

“What about a TV drama funded by Mr. Lu of the Lu Group?”

“No… Wait!” Zhou Chenxi sits up.

He remembers this drama. In his previous life, the protagonist missed it because of a scheduling conflict, and it unexpectedly became a modest hit. It was the only opportunity that didn’t involve the protagonist, so Zhou Chenxi flips over like a lazy fish and decides to make one last effort.

To his surprise, the drama makes him famous.

Fans dig up a video of Zhou Chenxi wearing ten-yuan slippers, squatting by the roadside and chomping on a jianbing guozi while shouting, “I don’t want to work hard anymore!” They wail about how sorry they feel for their precious baby.

Before filming, Zhou Chenxi quietly posts on Weibo: “If I don’t get famous this time, I’ll really have no choice but to spend the rest of my life with my billion-yuan fortune.”

His fans think he’s joking and promise to spend money supporting him, buying out all his endorsements. Only Mr. Lu quietly tags him: “@Zhou Chenxi Can I apply to be your billion-yuan fortune?”

And just like that, the topic blows up online.

"I Got the Harem of the Dragon-Slaying Protagonist"

Chao Que stayed up all night reading a power-progression novel from a popular fiction site. In the story, the overpowered male lead slaughters his way across the world, endures countless twists and turns, and eventually unifies the Three Realms, surrounded by a huge harem.

When he wakes up, Chao Que discovers he’s transmigrated into the book as a cannon-fodder villain with the same name.

The cannon fodder gets handsy with one of the male lead’s harem members, but the attempted seduction fails. The male lead appears out of nowhere and beats him into the ground.

That’s only the beginning of his trials. The male lead remembers him, and the cannon fodder keeps causing trouble for him, only to get face-slapped again and again. In the end, a thousand ghosts devour his heart, and he dies for his own sins.

When Chao Que arrives, the cannon fodder is already harassing one of the male lead’s harem members. “Hey, little lady, listen up. I, your daddy…”

Chao Que thinks fast and does a midair flip. “The person I want is Lu Zhiya!”

The harem member: “…”

The male lead, Lu Zhiya, happens to be passing by. “??”

It turns out there’s no good end to picking a fight with the male lead. After narrowly escaping, Chao Que starts clinging to the male lead at every opportunity.

When the male lead is injured, Chao Que is the first to offer him his own pills. When the male lead enters a dungeon, Chao Que follows along and gives him every chance he finds.

Then one day, Chao Que happens upon a harem member confessing to the male lead.

“Lu Zhiya, I like you.”

Lu Zhiya only smiles faintly. “Sorry. I like Chao Que.”

Chao Que, crouched nearby and ready to enjoy the show: “??”
