After Faking My Death, My Former Fiancé Actually Came After Me

After finishing her White Moonlight storyline, Wu Muer received a reward from the System: the chance to start a new life under a new identity.

She found a small mountain village, where she farmed, raised chickens, and basked in the sun.

One day, she found a gravely wounded young man. After thinking it over, she decided there was room for another woodcutter at home and brought him back with her.

When the young man woke up, he was grateful and did whatever she asked. Wu Muer thought he was a pretty good guy.

Wen Jue was the young master of the Wen clan of the Southern Border. Bright from a young age and strikingly handsome, he also had a childhood sweetheart who was engaged to him. But one day, his fiancée seemed to lose her mind. Not only did she insist on breaking off their engagement, she immediately turned around and started making advances toward another man.

How was he any worse than that good-for-nothing? But his fiancée had made up her mind and refused to see him.

Years later, the news he received about her was that she had willingly thrown herself into the Immortal's Fall for that man.

She was crazy. Completely crazy. Wen Jue killed the people who had once mistreated her, then pursued her down into the Immortal's Fall to look for her remains. But when he encountered his fiancée again, he saw her leisurely sunbathing in a small mountain village.

It was wonderful. She finally seemed free of romantic entanglements, no longer remembering that good-for-nothing or that madness of a love.

She didn't remember him, either.

Perfect.
