Shu Muyun and Qin Manzhou are graduate school classmates, and they’re equally unlucky: they’ve entered an infinite-flow game where each instance is based on a book.
Each instance corresponds to a physical book. Winning earns no reward, but losing means saying goodbye to the world.
To make matters worse, Shu Muyun has an extremely yin constitution that makes him a magnet for ghosts, while Qin Manzhou is a powerful exorcist and damage dealer.
So their gaming experience is twice as intense.
[The book-based infinite-flow world is opening.]
[Lucky players, please accept your infinite-flow starter pack.]
Instance One: Congratulations, you have transmigrated into the Elementary Accounting instance. Please help the firm perform its core work, and make sure not to make any mistakes.
Shu Muyun: “I can’t help feeling like this game is targeting me.”
Qin Manzhou: “What are you afraid of? Just think of it as your senior taking you to an immersive escape room.”
Instance One: Congratulations, you have transmigrated into the Prank Game instance. When someone plays a character who pranks and scares people, there may really be a pair of eyes watching you from somewhere unseen.
They might think you’re one of them, you know.
Shu Muyun: “So this is what they mean when they say, ‘When you gaze into the abyss, ’”
Qin Manzhou: “The abyss barks at you and wags its tail.”
Shu Muyun: “?”
Qin Manzhou: “The abyss also has something to say to you. Want to guess what?”
Shu Muyun: “Whatever the abyss has to say, it doesn’t matter. I have something to tell you, too. Want to guess?”
Qin Manzhou: “I’m guessing it’s a compliment.”
Shu Muyun: “Wrong. I like you.”
A goofy, scene-stealing exorcist top x a gentle, scheming, ghost-magnet bottom
Not much horror, plenty of stupidity.
Occasional face-slapping, or a feel-good power fantasy.
An unconventional transmigrate-into-a-book story, and a nontraditional infinite-flow novel.
Upcoming novel: The Gods Refuse to Work Overtime
As a child of the gods and one of the heirs to the four great families of the mystic arts, Shang Tingyu refuses to work overtime.
He’s already been working overtime for ages to maintain world peace and keep the universe stable.
Even as a descendant of the gods, he won’t age, get sick, or gain weight from overwork, but he can still get tired.
Just as he was about to finish his current assignment and take a long vacation, ready to enjoy the divine life of sleeping for three days straight, ordering delivery when he got hungry, and drinking milk tea when he got thirsty, the seal he was supposed to protect was broken by a bunch of useless novel characters who were only good enough to be cannon fodder.
They released a great demon king who had been stuck in his adolescent phase for thousands of years and still wanted to destroy the world.
Luckily, the seal had included a buy-one-get-one deal: Shang Tingyu got an ancient god, too. This god was devastatingly handsome, gentle, and exceptionally powerful. The only word for him was Gary Stu.
Jiyu had a jade-like face and a dark heart, and was refined and elegant, with all sorts of schemes up his sleeve. He naturally ended up mooching meals at Shang Tingyu’s place and keeping him company while he worked overtime.
Shang Tingyu: “Let’s make a deal. Go back to the seal and get some more sleep.”
Jiyu: “Why? I’ve taken on so much of your work. Don’t you want to like me?”
Shang Tingyu: “But you’re the reason I have to work overtime.”
Jiyu: “Then you might never get rid of me. Since we’re the only two gods from the primordial era left in the world, I hear your workplace is planning to set us up on a date. I’m very pleased with this arrangement, darling. What about you?”
Shang Tingyu: “Do you have social insurance and a housing fund?”
Jiyu: “I hear I’ll get them when I’m paid next month.”
Shang Tingyu: “Then do you own a home and a car?”
Jiyu: “I don’t think so, but I have a divine palace and a few dragons and phoenixes I can ride. Does that count as having a home and a car?”
Shang Tingyu: “That works, but you don’t have a household registration in the human world, and those are hard to get. Your dragons and phoenixes work for me now, and your immortal palace has already collapsed. Repairs cost money, so I’m the one supporting you. Whether we marry depends on whether I agree.”
Jiyu: “So, do you agree?”
Shang Tingyu: “Destroy the demon king who’s kept me working overtime until now, and I’ll hire five hundred construction crews to rebuild your immortal palace. On our wedding day, I’ll have a lion spirit perform a lion dance and a suona spirit play the wedding music.”
Five minutes later, Jiyu returned, holding the demon king by the scruff of his neck. “Here, darling. This is the betrothal gift. If you don’t mind, I’d like to try a modern Chinese style for the renovations. You know, as a ten-thousand-year-old, I’m eager to try something new.”
A gentle, composed, scheming top (Jiyu) x a poker-faced, sharp-tongued, sarcastic beauty bottom (Shang Tingyu).
The bottom is the poker-faced, sharp-tongued, sarcastic type, always. The top is always unruffled and ruthless, but is genuinely a good person.
Upcoming novel: The God’s Bride
Ruan Li, a graduate student specializing in folklore, and his twin sister, Ruan Zhi, were supposed to visit a village to conduct field research.
But halfway there, they were caught in a landslide. They couldn’t reach the welcoming, open-minded village they had planned to visit. Instead, while seeking shelter, they stumbled by chance upon another village, one that was gloomy and closed off.
Strange things kept happening. At first, the villagers were merely cold and hostile to outsiders. But after a divination ceremony on the second day of their stay, an evil god chose Ruan Zhi as his bride. The villagers forcibly tied up his sister and offered her as a bride to the evil god they had worshiped for generations.
It was said that something went wrong at every wedding. None of the brides ever married the god, and each one disappeared on the night the ceremony failed, vanishing without a trace.
His sister’s “wedding” failed as well. The evil god still refused to marry her, and she disappeared without a sound or trace. Grief-stricken, Ruan Li decided to disguise himself as a woman, marry the evil god in her place, and seize an opportunity to kill him.
But even though the evil god knew he was a man and knew what he was planning, he went through with the wedding.
And so Ruan Li became the evil god’s true bride.
When the veil was lifted, the peerlessly handsome evil god Dongting smiled and said, “This bride is so beautiful that I lost myself for a moment and forgot you were a man.”
Ruan Li failed to kill the god, but learned that his sister was still alive. Dongting had let her go, and she had returned to the city. By then, however, Ruan Li could no longer escape.
Dongting lowered his eyes. “My mark is engraved in your very bones and blood. You are the bride of the last god in this world. From now on, you will sink into darkness and linger in the abyss. You will be my lifelong companion, until heaven and earth lie barren and the gods have fallen. Then you will sleep beside me in the dream of death.”
Ruan Li replied impassively, “I won’t sink into desolation.”
“I’ll only lead you into the sunlight.”
*The villagers are obsessed with holding weddings for the evil god, but Dongting has never once come to claim a bride. Every wedding has failed.
Dongting has been single all this time. Ruan Li is his first and only wife.
Gentle, scheming, unhinged evil god top x cold, resilient, fights back, beautiful bottom
Theme: Though the road ahead is rough and dangerous, with you by my side, I can always glimpse sunlight through the clouds.
Qin Manzhou: Marriage at public expense to show affection? Thanks as usual, good brother!!
Wow wow wow, it looks great, but I'm a bit regretful that I didn't see the main CP's wedding.
Why are these people all out of their minds after going out for a trip home? Hhhhhhh
Really, if you have something to say in a relationship, just say it directly, otherwise you won't be able to go back in the end.
So there was no big copy in the end???? Then what is the use of the preparations they made earlier? . . Or is it that the previous one was a large copy?
Laughing so hard hahahahahahahaha
The writing is good! It's just that some characters in it are so speechless! Stupid love! It looks frustrating, the protagonist is such a holy mother! People hurt you, but you still don't fight back
Ohhhhh!! I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming. Don't hide it if you have something going on. It's not good for your relationship.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha, interesting, clichéd beginning
Finished spreading flowers! To be honest, I want to watch Qing Lie and the others' extras. I think the author writes very well, keep up the good work! Support you↖(^ω^)↗
