Dating Sigma

[This story was saved in 2020, but later developments in the manga blindsided me quite a bit. Maybe I'll only be able to write a short romance.]

Question: What does it feel like to have your joy turn to sorrow?

Answer: It's when you think your dream is about to come true,

only to be slapped in the face by reality without warning.

As a permanent resident of the planet Rakuyo,

Liu Zhi has dreamed since childhood of opening a restaurant on the planet.

With no money, she had no choice but to join her fellow Yato in fighting across the land to save up.

Once she finally had enough, a trip to Edo to reward herself turned her into a debtor.

Gazing at the endless desert and the blazing sun overhead,

the Yato, now drastically weakened,

had no choice but to hide her unusual condition

and return to her old line of work.

Until one day, she rescued someone whose life seemed just like her own...

Blurb 2

There's a Chinese restaurant in Tokyo that's incredibly popular.

The food is delicious, the proprietress is beautiful and kind,

and her lover is beautiful and kind too.

One day, a customer noticed the proprietress's lover was nowhere to be seen and secretly asked what had happened.

The proprietress wiped away a tear and said he'd been tricked into leaving.

The customer grew eager. Anyone easy to trick into leaving must be a fool, so maybe there was a chance for them.

"Who would dare steal the person I love?"

The proprietress's lover appeared again, his gentle eyes carrying an unfamiliar sharpness. In truth, he was a complete coward, terrified that the one he loved might really leave with someone else.

Seeing him like this, the proprietress hugged him, whom she hadn't seen in so long, and laughed. "You silly thing."
