Preface: This is a huge rabbit hole.
Actually, today I just got the urge to tweak the blurb.
This chaotic collection is made up of scattered, disjointed stories pieced together from the “ordinary bystanders” of the Hunter world.
Almost all the protagonists here meet their ends in death. Only a few get a more peaceful send-off.
That fits the title, “The Deaths of Bystanders in Seven Days.”
There are lots of stories I want to write, but very few ever make it onto the page. I’ll start by listing some outlines, and if I have time, I might write them up whenever the mood strikes.
In other words, there’s absolutely no guarantee of updates or quality here. Please read at your own discretion = =
Short stories I once wanted to write (coming attractions):
1. The Death of a Gambler in Seven Days:
The story of a girl who can only win and never lose, as she squanders all her chips in life in a boundless, meaningless existence.
Her name is Liao Jia. She often wears a red tracksuit and her hair in unfashionable braids. She has no education, no manners, and no grace whatsoever.
2. The Death of the Real and False Mother:
This is the story I most want to write right now, and also the most challenging. I once imagined a woman from Meteor City raising Chrollo, a child with no blood relation to her. At first, she does it for profit, not out of love.
Her name is Cha Luo, a selfish, greedy, illiterate woman. In truth, I think it would be hard for her to genuinely raise a child. At first, she takes Chrollo in hoping to receive special treatment, but people can change.
That change is what sets the story in motion. The heroine has a fatal flaw: she is kind by nature, but her conduct is deplorable.
Chrollo is the opposite: by nature, he is like a monster lurking in a swamp, yet he wears a kind face.
I expect it to run 60,000 to 80,000 words. It will be the longest story in this collection.
3. One Thousand and One Stories:
During one of Feitan’s many criminal investigations, a small accident occurs. A timid, weak-willed girl discovers a well of untapped potential as she faces death.
The stories she tells flow from her lips like flowers, as if another world is turning in her mind.
She tells all sorts of entertaining little stories to stay alive, and Feitan unexpectedly keeps her alive for his amusement.
Through her long string of stories, the world remains unchanged.
What keeps the girl determined to survive is her family. Her name is San Mi. She is neither pretty nor well-built.
Her greatest joy is telling stories to her mother by the river.
But after being imprisoned day and night, with the chill of shackles around her ankles, she may never be able to return there.
4. To be continued
I’ve thought up so much, but written so little. Maybe I’ll update this someday.
Please don’t get your hopes up too much = =
(I made a new cover and thought I’d post it here.)
Is the heroine so 6 because of her telekinesis ability, or is she already 6 plus her telekinesis ability to make her even more 6?
Please update!!!!! Damn, I like you very much
Please update!!!!!
