Neither Good nor Evil

Many years ago, an obscure cultivator dealt with a blight on the cultivation world. The righteous sects cheered, and just as they were about to sing his praises, he was gone. The righteous cultivators could only sigh with regret: This young man is as pure as frost and snow, and seeks neither fame nor fortune. Truly admirable. Many years later, that cultivator appeared again with his disciple. Seeing that the disciple was handsome and more attuned to human feelings than his master, everyone had to praise him: This young man will surely surpass his master. What a fine young man. In the end, they discovered... that the cultivator's disciple was the very blight on the cultivation world. Note: The shou only likes the gong. There is no white moonlight, no replacement trope, none of that. Theme: Probably nothing.
