The Joy of Spring

Qi Yuan always ranked at the bottom of the class at the Imperial College, and the person she hated most was Cheng Huaiyu, who stood in for their teacher and kept them in line.

He was strict and unsympathetic, with plenty of devoted followers. Qi Yuan often complained to her friends that those people had never experienced the terror of being under Cheng Huaiyu's thumb.

Then one day, at a banquet, Qi Yuan was accidentally pushed into the water and rescued by the heir to Prince Xian, a married man. According to convention, Qi Yuan had no choice but to become a concubine in Prince Xian's household.

Faced with Cheng Huaiyu, who had come to her aid and saved her from that fate, Qi Yuan fell silent.

#If only I'd known this would happen, I wouldn't have talked behind your back so much.

#My teacher has become my fiance. What should I do? Asking online, and it's pretty urgent.

·

After they married, Qi Yuan realized that something seemed a little off.

#My husband seems to have had a crush on me for years. What should I do? Asking online, and it's pretty urgent.

Cheng Huaiyu: Softie, you figured it out?

Qi Yuan: I-I figured what out?

#I didn't, I haven't, don't make things up.

Cheng Huaiyu had stayed with the Qi family as a child, and was very fond of their pretty little daughter.

Later, that little girl became the person he loved.

But she had never liked him, and often badmouthed him behind his back to her three friends.

When he heard she was going to marry one of those friends, he left the capital in sorrow.

Who knew her marriage had been plotted against from beginning to end? By the time he returned to the capital, all three of her friends were dead.

She was dressed in mourning, her face as cold as snow.

He didn't know that would be the last time he saw her.

·

After avenging her, he went to her grave, leaned against the tombstone, and quietly closed his eyes.

But when he woke again, the date was written clearly in his journal.

It was the very day she had been set up.

A delightfully silly, academically hopeless heroine vs. a proper, self-controlled, devoted hero.

Theme: Love requires both people to cherish each other.
